I had a wonderful experience at Zen Springs! The atmosphere was very relaxing and romantic, with a lovely floral aroma as soon as you walk in. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions over the phone and explaining everything in our room. The spa was spotless and it was clear that they take great care in cleaning all glass items after each use. We paid $95 for a 60-minute VIP spa room and it was worth every penny! The star-light ceiling, pink bath light, and adjustable dimming lights created a truly romantic mood. I highly recommend this spa!
Terrible place! The hot tubs do not feel like hot tubs, no jets. Ranky & cheap place. They wanna charge to for a paper sheet! Don't go there
I really loved that it was a tub, with fresh water. Great soak, they let you play music, and the sauna was nice too. Great relax spot. An hour and half was perfect time
It was very spacious, clean and empty. We was the only guest inside the building. What I didn't like is that the desk clerk left the ID on the front counter and the door was unlocked and anyone could have came inside and took the driver's license off the counter, we looked around for the clerk but the clerk was nowhere to be found so we just left.
This place is FILTHY and staff is VERY rude! I walked in and it smelled really bad. I seen some Asian guy maybe the owner cleaning one of the spa rooms. He first used a towel to clean the floor with NO CLEANING PRODUCTS. He then proceeded to wipe the counter tops with the dirty floor towel! YUCK! That is gross. After that he continues to use the towels to clean the tub I paid to sit in. That is very nasty and I’m so upset I came here for my birthday and was disappointed. After he was done cleaning I spoke with the Asian guy which I found out was the owner and told him I need a FULL REFUND because I didn’t pay for an uncleaned spa room. He spoke to me as if I was his child very disrespectful. He refused to give me a refund until I told him I would call higher authority which is the health inspector about his place of business. Then one of his employees came to work in the middle of our conversation, he then tried to make an example out of me like I was a troublesome customer who walked in. He should be ashamed of hisself. The employee began to defend me because she knew that place was dirty she even claimed that’s how he wants her to clean EVERY spa room. I’m very upset about this place I see why it only has 3stars, this place needs to be shut down AFFECTIVE Immediately!

We paid $70 for 60min in a VIP spa room and it was worth every penny! The star light ceiling, pink bath light and adjustable dimming lights sets a very romantical mood!
This place will rip you off. It’s Also dirty and sketchy. My husband and I went in there for what we thought was a massage, paid the 100$ and were taken to a room w a bath tub. When we expressed our concerns, she told us no problem and then took us back to the counter where she gave us 80$. They took $20 to walk us to a room and walk us back out. Then the owner wants to hop on yelp and argue with me about “the truth” when 1 he wasn’t there which can be shown by his falsities in his response to my very truthful review and 2 he wasn’t who I called and talked to 3 wants to claim his employee “filled the bath half full” when she had turned it on, and turned it right back off bc we obviously could see that’s not a massage and 4 he is not going to gaslight me. In his response he said “Cancellations will not get refund. Also She is not authorized to do any refund. So She called manager. However manger decide making one time exception give you refund, but not full refund. Just charged the $20 for the set up and water been wasted in the tub. At this point, you are not satisfied, you threaten to write really bad reviews on Yelp. Yes, there you go. You and husband both wrote this $20 loss payback review. I understand $20 means a lot to you, just wondering how much you value both of your time to write these reviews. If you don't, we will. That's why we have store policy apply for each situation.” See I do value my time and I also value my money, which I'm sure you do to since you like to rip people off. but since I know you run a scam, sham of a business - I am HAPPY to dedicate my time so youuuu lose money. PSA: Don't waste your money here. They will rip you off and then try to gaslight you. If you value you yourself, your money, your pease - RISE in alameda is a great, MUCH more professional and higher class and Zen establishment.
Overpriced and scuzzy. Got the “VIP” spa room, the sauna did not work and water took 15-20 minutes to fill up cutting into our hr. Was happy about at least being able to play music in room, but the speaker was hella dusty and did not work. At the end when we were preparing to leave, the towels smelled moldy like they sat in the washer for a while then dried. Before we left, my husband went to use the bathroom, walked in and a man was on the crapper smoking a cigarette lol. I will not be returning. Much better service and ambience at other spots around Oakland.
There are literally escorts in the rooms and you can hear them “escorting” in the other rooms and homeless people everywhere outside. The staff is horribly rude and the place is dirty. The tubs and showers are dirty and when you complain about it they say no refunds. Honestly, just spend your money somewhere else that isn’t a trap house disguised as a spa
PLEASE PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The customer service is horrible being that they will not accommodate you for a refund if you are not comfortable with the service they are providing ,as well as making you seem like you are incompetent of knowing what is sanitary and what’s not. I complained of the room not being clean the shower had hair in it as well as dirt on the floor. The jacuzzi had dirt as well and the walls were cracking like missing pieces out of it. The whole atmosphere felt wrong. If your a clean person and you like nice things. This establishment isn’t for you. It’s the lowest of the lows, and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.
