I have bought over and over .online and live auctions .top notch people ....",I get a kick out of some of the reviews " you have plenty of time to look items over go to preview before you buy. ...just saying people

Were very quick to take my money but here we are 2 weeks later waiting for 1 small item to be shipped. Would ask for a refund but it seems that gets you nowhere if the other reviews are to be believed.

Starting a small business is hard and its made harder by people like Zettlemoyer Auction, who either mistakenly or deliberately put a pick up time requirement in terms and not in the shipping and pick up information. As a result we tried to arrange pick up with a company but was told a time frame that wouldn't work. After reaching out to them, by phone and going back and forward over and over finally reached I better pick up time. Sadly the shipping company could not help us as it was now to late to organize this pick up. We explained that had they clearly stated in shipping or on the auction somewhere the very small window in which to pick up these items we would have already had it organized or would not have bud on these items. As we are a small business and have no staff at this point. I asked for a refund as it was not our fault and it was refused. They where ride and defensive right from the start. Beware when you work with these people don't just look at shopping and pick up info for details, they hide info in the terms. On a personal note $350 may not be a large amount to this company, but as stated we are a small business and losing these items and the money has hurt us. During these hard times, we need to work together, things are harder especially with shipping and such. After our experience with you we will be recommending to the many small businesses we know, to not do business with your company.

I recently won an online auction through Proxibid. I called Zettlemoyer the following day to schedule shipping or pick up the items. After nearly two weeks I received an email that they would be shipping out eventually, which I immediately reached out via telephone and asked about shipping charges or pickup times. I was promised that I would be notified of shipping charges. Again, I waited and did not hear anything so I emailed them. I received an email that the items shipped and I was already charged. The shipping charge, in my opinion, were too much and would have picked up the items, if I had even been notified. Fast forward to 5 minutes ago and the package arrived. However, not even half the items won at auction were inside the package. To top that off, some of the contents were shipped in smaller boxes that were completely empty. I'm very disappointed. I would have hoped that dealing with a somewhat local location about an hour drive would have made things easy, but it seems that there were issues and mistakes every step of the way. I'm still waiting to hear back from them about the missing contents of the package as it arrived on a Friday evening and I will update this review as things progress. *Update* A second package arrived I was not aware of which has the remaining items. I'm happy to have gotten all the items won at auction. I do wish that the communication was better, but an happy they fulfilled the request.

I wish I could give zero or .negative Stars. Stay away from any Zelllemoyer Auction. I bought a truck that was so defective, I had to junk it in a month. I sold some items and was over charged in fees. Customer Service are the rudest people in the world.

Well I should have read the reviews before purchasing..I won some items had a time set up for pick up and my son and his family drove 4 hours to visit as a surprise.. he is a state trooper and works special forces for the govt...did not see them for almost 8 months. I called to please try and pick up another time but they said no..and that I forfit my Items I won... so I lost money. These people are very rude do not buy from them they are terrible.

I had a good experience with Zettlemoyer. My item was as exactly as described size, condition with noteworthy damage being disclosed up front. Plenty of photographs were provided for information purposes. Good communication throughout and I found them very fair to deal with.

I should have read the reviews before bidding on an online auction. Be careful when bidding on their online auctions. Unethical company.

the online auctions ran by the older zettlemoyer's are trash. don't waste your time. they make up rules on the spot, lack well posted info on removal and preview, force credit card use instead of checks, want scheduled appointments yet don't answer the phone and are rude. please note: the actual auction house ran by eric & co are great. i've never had a problem there and would go back. i will however avoid any online auctions permanently.
