I've lived in Charlotte my entire life and I have been through several hair stylists in my 40 years and have never quite found the right fit for me... Until I read several great reviews about Catherine at Zig Zag Salon. I took a chance and made an appointment with her, I have never been happier with my highlights and cut! She really took all the time that she and I needed to figure out the right color and cut that would look best on me. She has the BEST personality, and I felt right at home there, I highly recommend her to anyone in need for a stylist for life!!

I was in desperate need of a good hairstylist so I googled salons in Matthews and came across Zig Zag Salon. After seeing all the great reviews on Catherine I decided to check her out for myself. She did an amazing job! I have thick coarse curly hair and it's hard for me to get someone who can cut my hair right. The first time I went to her she asked me several questions about my hair. She really strives to give you exactly what you want. I'm a person that never wears her hair down because it is so difficult to handle but after she gave me my haircut she made it lay in a way that looked amazing and not out of control. I wore it down pretty much everyday without even having to style it! I just put some leave-in conditioner in it and it was good to go! You can tell she is very experienced in what she does. On top of that she is very sweet and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Catherine!

Love Kim at ZigZag Salon!! I have really straight hair and Kim knows the best cuts that work with my hair and shape of my face. Never had my hair colored until I started going here. Always love my color and totally trust her expertise on what will work. From red to brown to highlights.

Kim W is a genius with hair color. My color is rich and natural looking and I get compliments from friends, family and complete strangers. She calls it double pigment but I call it beautiful! I found out about Zig Zag Salon by searching for high quality salons in Charlotte, NC and I was not disappointed! Catherine did my hair impeccably and even before she was done drying it I knew I loved the dye and cut! She talked with me like we were close friends and she was extremely respectful of what I wanted. This was my first time dying my hair and I was worried about how it would turn out and if the color would look right on me, but she eased my hesitation instantly! She made me confident in my decision and now I'm confident in my appearance! I will definitely be returning to her again!

I have thick curly coarse hair. I have been going to Kim for 12 years. Over these years my hair has grayed and thinned a little. It has been real long and short. Kim has always done an amazing job at managing the changing needs of my hair. It is important to me that my hair is not frizzy and is low maintenance. I want my hair to not only look good the day I leave the salon, but everyday until I go back to the salon. Kim has perfected my color and highlights. My hair looks natural and youthful. I look forward to my appointments. It is always a good day when I go she her.

Kim W is terrific!! She is thoughtful and takes the time to understand what your preferences are, she understands the “science” behind hair color and uses her incredible knowledge in choosing what color process is best for your hair. She’s detail oriented and maticulous!! I also love the cut, I have wavy hair, which in the past meant a lot of complicated styling!! She was able to give me a style my that is manageable for me on a busy day to day basis!!

I was so thrilled with my experience with Kim at Zig Zag Salon. After 2 years of growing out my hair and deciding it was time to get it cut to donate it, I was unsure of how the process would go. Kim was so fantastic, and took the time to make sure everything was measured and cut properly so that my hair donation would be excepted. She also looked at some styles that I liked with me and gave me some recommendations based on my hair and face type. The end result was nothing short of fabulous. Cutting off 13" is a huge deal, but the style that she gave me was so gorgeous that I don't even miss all that hair. I have gotten rave reviews from everyone who has seen me since, and they have all commented on what a great cut and style I got, and that the hair stylist did a fantastic job. I am so thrilled that I went to Kim and will definitely be going back to her from now on.

Catherine St. Onge is excellent! I have been looking for a good hair stylist for quite a awhile. I came upon the reviews for Zig Zag Salon and decided to make an appointment with Catherine. She took the time and listened to what I was trying to achieve with my hair. She gave suggestions for products that may work best. She gave me samples to try before I had to go buy the product so I could see if it would work with my hair type. The cut was great and I will definitely be continuing to use Catherine as my hair stylist. Don't hesitate to make an appointment with her.

Kim W is fantastic! I have short hair and it is always challenging to find a stylist who knows how to cut short hair - Kim never misses the mark! She has an eye for detail and takes her time when cutting my hair. I am often asked by complete strangers where I get my hair cut. Kim is an awesome stylist and an incredibly kind person!
