My fitness journey began in 2010. I felt it was time I did something for me, and take care of myself. Since taking my first class in Miami in 2001, I have loved and been passionate about Zumba®….I was instantly hooked! No matter where I've lived, Zumba® has been a part of my life.
I began my transformation by taking personal training sessions. I pushed myself harder than I ever had before. Throughout my personal training sessions, work, kids, etc., I always made time for Zumba®. Zumba® has never felt like something I HAVE to do. It is something I can't wait to do. It's fun!
After losing a significant amount of weight, I decided (with the encouragement of family and friends) to become a certified Zumba® instructor. I'm so glad I did! I have enjoyed the new people it has brought into my life, and the opportunity to share our fitness journeys. It doesn't matter what level of fitness you’re at, we are all in this together.
I was born in Miami, FL and spent many summers in the birthplace of my parents (and Zumba), Colombia. I grew up with Latin music, and love it. You can say it’s in my blood!
