Love this place. I had a steak quesadilla and it was actually quite delicious. I love their salsa verde sauce. Great atmosphere, the girls were friendly. Overall good place to dine.
Upon my first impression of this location of ZuZu, I was somewhat surprised by the lack of cleanliness of the restaurant. My guest and I were the only visitors at the time, so it should not have been an issue for staff to sweep/wipe tables, etc. I ordered the cheese enchiladas which were very delicious. Upon my previous visits to ZuZu, however, I did not have to pay extra for a side order of tortilla chips. This visit, I was not offered free tortilla chips which was disappointing since they offer a salsa bar with some of the most tasty salsa verde you can imagine! Since I did not have tortilla chips, I was happy to pour the salsa over my enchiladas - yum! The staff was not overly excited about having customers, but they were not unpleasant. If you are sensitive to freezing cold restaurants/establishments in the Texas heat, I strongly advise that you bring a light jacket or sweater as one might expect to find hanging meat in the building - it was freezing - almost to the point of being extremely uncomfortable. There is a small patio area outside if you would like to enjoy the sight of the bustling traffic along 423. Not my favorite visit, but I will give them another try.
I came for my first time on Taco Tuesday and tried Brisket Tacos. I got beef fajita nachos the second time and liked both. I'm excited to try the tortilla soup next. Daily specials and a salsa bar. Great spot for lunch.
I tried ZuZu tonight and I must say every thing is great about this restaurant. Great prices for the quality, drinks and fresh ingredients. The fajitas are high quality meat and the sides are all made from scratch. As the owners explained to me, the original ZuZu was established 20 years ago in Addison and still in business.
Avoid. Cheap ingredients and forgettable flavor. On top of that, they forgot make 2 of 4 orders on our ticket! Every item was NOT made from scratch. No real shredded cheese, just very cheap liquid nacho cheese. Salsa is passable and not included with your order. Fish tacos were edible. At least the bathrooms are nice
My wife and I are regulars at ZuZu. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. They offer a unlimited fresh salsa bar. My favorite is the fish tacos with just the right amount of seasoning. Definitely recommend
I agree with above post that you should not charge for chips and hot sauce. But the reason I only gave 2 stars is 1 I had sour cream chicken enchiladas, they were warm at best. And 2 overall tastes was bottom 40%, thus 2 out of 5 stars, of all the s.c. chicken enchiladas I have had.
Right around the corner from my house. Come here often with my family and can always count on very good fresh food. Great service, and relaxing atmosphere. Often get carry out as well. Skip the fast food and give ZuZu a try.
Amazing in every way!!! My family grew up on Zuzu when it was in Arlington and when I stumbled upon it one day after many years in Frisco, my husband and I have made a point to come once a week ever since! The best part is the consistency. It hasn't changed in years which I appreciate so much! Also, customer service is always stellar. ALWAYS! If any reviews say otherwise, it was a fluke and not the norm! Ps. The bathroom is like a 5 star hotel bathroom which is really nice and unexpected!
I had zuzu tonight and I was very disappointed, I had the enchiladas cheese cause it's hard to mess that up and I asked the girl if they had chili con Carne and she said yes.The guacamole was so sour they might as well gave me the lemon. The enchiladas tasted like it had ravioli sauce chef boy r Dee and cheese was still hard ,not warm at all.
