1st Thursdays is a neighbourhood celebration of great art that takes place on the 1st Thursday of every month from 5 pm to 9 pm. Stroll through 5 unique galleries all located within walking distance of each other and enjoy world-class art, good vibes and good conversation.

SPAO@EXPOSURE (1255 Wellington W) features monthly exhibitions from contemporary Canadian photo-based artists. SPAO@EXPOSURE is a Thyme & Again venture, located on their 2nd floor studio. Curated by Ottawa artist and designer Carrie Colton. t: 613.355.0359
Gallery 3 (1281 Wellington W) exhibits some of Canada’s most talented artists, including several from the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Now approaching 5 years in Wellington Village, Gallery 3 is a young dynamic contemporary art gallery with a mandate to showcase original Canadian artwork. t: 613.728.1281
Fritzi Gallery (1233 Wellington W) curated by Malika Welsh. Located on the second floor of the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre, the Fritzi Gallery features mixed-media art exhibits that are open to the public, each carefully curated to complement the current play in production. e. [email protected]
Railbender Studio (3 Hamilton Ave N.) Railbender Studio brings a unique style of tattoo design to Hintonburg, while offering a beautiful gallery space featuring works by local artists.
The Studio Café (1089 Somerset St. W.) The Studio Café's motto, "Sip, Ponder, Create" encourages a contemplative place.
