211 Café

About

We are located inside Bike Rack A st. One side of Pedaler's Pub

Description

Café 211 was born from a lifelong and international love and passion for coffee. For us, coffee goes beyond being just a drink. Coffee is a colaboration of memories, experiences, relationships, ice breakers, and moments. Come join us and let 211 become a part of your story.

Great artists refer to coffee as the protagonist for many historical events and social upheavals. For example, in 1723, Johann Sebastian Bach created the Coffee Cantata 211 (Kaffeekantate), to which we owe our name.

One of our goals is to encourage our local community through every cup of coffee that we serve. We have direct contact with the coffee producers and farmers, allowing us not only to ensure the quality of the coffee, but also the conditions of the farmers.

Our single origin coffee makes it possible for you to taste the essence of the farm in every cup, be it from Guatemala, Kenya or El Salvador.

COFFEE YOUR LIFE.

I’ll start off by saying I used to LOVE this place. I used to go every few days after it opened at the library. Today is going to be my last time making a visit. I went in to order a basic iced latte, received the latte in a warm beverage cup that did not fit the iced latte, leaking all over the cup. The drink itself was too sweet. I’ve ordered this drink plenty of times, and I know this isn’t how it’s made. When I communicated this to the new barista we received extremely rude service and she seemed to egotistical to acknowledge she might have made an error. I’ve come here many times, but this will be my last time after the customer service I received. Very disappointing, I wish I could continue to love this place. If you’re in the area, theres tons of other coffee shops offering way better service in a small walkable radius from here.
YOU FOUND THE BEST At first I liked Starbucks and was relatively happy with all the coffee places in town, but after going here a few times, nothing else compares. It’s not even close. I’ve been going here almost every day for years and when they’re closed we go home and make coffee with their awesome Guatemalan beans. HERE’S WHY I think I’ve figured out why it’s so much better. I can speak to the heart and the taste. They roast differently - they only use a medium roast and I know that every other shop mostly serves a dark roast and I don’t know why you would, because you lose the coffee taste, the caffeine and have to replace it with sugar to taste decent. THE TASTE & WHAT TO TRY The coffee is so pure tasting and never bitter! Not even the espresso. I love the breve and don’t usually get sweet drinks, but their honey, cinnamon latte is on everyone’s list of favorites. All their syrup are made in house and are not too sweet. They’re the perfect blend of sweet and coffee. Also the iced, decaf, mocha with oat milk is like a oatmeal cookie. Oh yeah and they’re decaf doesn’t have any chemicals because they use the Swiss water technique to extract the caffeine. Every little thing it perfect. NICEST COFFEE SHOP AWARD They also are so flipping nice! I went in once 5 years ago and we were friends because all the sudden we had coffee in common and that’s all it takes. Ask anyone who goes there and they’ll tell you the same. Mauricio the owner is your friend and Katrina is secretly the best barista in town. FOOD OPTIONS Their food options are mostly made in house and although they sound plain - they all have an extra little detail that makes them something you can’t get anywhere else. The prices are great for a budget too. They have large patio and fast WiFi for working or letting the kids play too. -OK NOW GO TRY IT- This is the best coffee shop around in every way. Every time I travel I compare places to 211 and rarely find one as good. It’s the new standard. Try it and you’ll know what I mean.
Should disclose you're in a library. Photos were misleading. Barista was nice. Espresso is ok. Mocha made with powder...I'd suggest mixing the espresso into the powder before adding milk. Coming from an experienced barista.Food: 3/5
Cold coffee served in paper cup which is used to serve hot coffee & does not taste good. Customer service 1/5, barista does not care about customer service. Do not recommend.Food: 1/5
Absolutely amazing little place in the heart of Bentonville. It's main entrance is located at an alley located behind Bentonville's City Hall. You can also find breakfast burritos and incredible Guatemalan Hot Chocolate! Definitely recommend!
Love the new location thou the cool quirkiness of the old one is gone. This clean modern space still has a cool vibe and the coffee is still good, maybe better. The owner is passionate about his Guatemalan medium roast he has roasted locally by Mountain Bird. It’s a good quality coffee and works well for a cup done in a Chemex or one of their specialty drinks. I also appreciate the fact that they participate in local farmers markets, nice to see them in Bella Vista!
Excellent coffee, remarkable service, delish scones. This is a great little coffee shop, fresh ground, comfy seating, and they feature items from local artist for purchase.
This is a wonderful coffee shop. It is located in the Bentonville AR public library. It has it’s own entrance or you can enter from the library. The coffee we had was over the top. Very very good. You can have it in a to go cup or an in house glass cup. They, also, have pastries. Sadly, we had already eaten breakfast. There are tables and chairs on the inside. Tables, chairs and benches on the outside on the porch. The porch has a roof over it. It is shaded by mature trees. Very clean. Very friendly. Don’t miss it if visiting Bentonville.
Tried their decaf coffee because they use a process without chemicals. It was really good. Sometimes you just want coffee even when you know it is too late! It is nice to buy their beans to grind at home for the perfect cup.
What has happened? Friendly service but the Mocha was luke warm at best and my breakfast croissant was not edible. It seemed old and the bacon was atrocious. Used to be a great place to visit, then it moved, and now my first visit in awhile and it was regrettable to say the least. If you're at the library, just a few blocks away either direction is great coffee and assorted food. This is not worth the trip - sorry to say.
