I've attended two different events here and have been very impressed. The ambiance is fantastic, the valet is quick and efficient and the accommodations above and beyond. Like most conference rooms, it can get a little chilly.... so bring a sweater. But I love coming here now because I know it's going to be a great day. Pro tip: try the BBQ fries.
We have stayed here with our dog twice and find it to be an easy, welcoming, clean place. Rooms are big and well outfitted. Super comfy linens and pillows. Would wish for more towels just two provided.. Friendly staff, interesting art and spaces. Dog friendly!!Rooms: 4/5
The building and the rooms are different to your standard hotel chains. Because of its history the rooms have an industrial style with very high ceilings for example. The beds are comfortable, bathroom and room very spacious and clean at first glance. Nice pool area, parking close by.
Love this hotel. Rooms are extra spacious and comfortable. The Bodega is excellent for breakfast and as a coffee shop throughout the day. You can also enjoy the art collection in the lobby. Convenient downtown and other local attractions. Noteworthy details: This building is on the registry of Historic Places. Very interesting history.
This experience was super disappointing!! The Fordson Hotel is now in place of Hotel 21c Museum, but we were not notified of the change until the night before our stay. Walking in, it’s extremely sad looking. It’s such a beautiful building, but 21c took all of the art when they left, so the entire hotel is so empty and bare it’s almost creepy. The front desk staff seemed to all be very miserable working there, but tried their best to be “hospitable.” One mentioned to me, “yeah it’s so empty in here, there’s nothing to look at so we get bored.” And he had drawn his own sketch on a sticky note— the best art I saw in the whole hotel! Also, the pool… yuck! First off, it’s so tiny AND open to the public! We’re paying as much as the Omni Hotel prices but have to share their tiny pool with a bunch of people that aren’t from the hotel. It was also very dirty with trash and towels strewn everywhere and giant hairballs in the water. We quickly left after getting in for a minute. I think it’s a total disservice for Fordson Hotel to be open while switching over management right now. It’s not an enjoyable stay, and for what you get in your hotel experience and room, it is NOT worth the price in the state it’s in. They need to close, fully switch management, finish furnishing and decorating the hotel, and open again. I feel so sad for all of the weddings and events that already booked here that are getting short ended from this management change. Will not be back nor recommend.
My first time in Oklahoma City I stayed here it was such an amazing experience! It’s a very artsy and a little bit spooky hotel. There is a very Interesting art museum on the first floor but there is also art all throughout the hotel. The art is very modern. Near the elevators on the first floor there are a few old school TVs playing random scenes on people in waiting rooms and doctors offices. None of the TVs have sound but there was a loop of bird sounds playing on repeat which was kind of nice. Each floor has very tall ceilings, the hallways are super funky and cool but also very dimly lit. The rooms are modern and SO cool, there are floor to ceiling windows and a cute rubber ducky in the bathroom. I was told by the staff that the building used to be a Ford factory I believe. The staff were very friendly and informative each interaction I had with each staff member was positive. I can not wait to return! Rooms: Stunning. Very clean and super modern the coffee table was adjustable, there was a desk with a microwave. You have seemingly unlimited ways to adjust the lighting in the room. Nearby activities: I went to an awesome arcade a couple blocks away $5 for unlimited games. Walkability: There are crosswalks at the stop lights in front of the building but on the side and behind the building the streets are a lot less busy. Food & drinks: There is a restaurant off of the lobby, at the time it was being rented out so I did not get to check it out. There are many cool looking bars and restaurants with in walking distance that I’m excited to try out.
Incredible space. The art is outstanding and you have to see the floor with icons located on the first floor. Our hotel room was lovely with lots of huge windows although none of them opened. It felt a bit like being locked in and I like having the option of accessing fresh air when staying at any hotel. I wish the front staff knew more about the art in the hotel or there was a guide listing all the art. A self guided audio would be a helpful tool that could be added to the website.
The Fordson previously 21c is truly like a visit to purgatory or perhaps the last day of an estate sale of a very wealthy family from a time long gone. There is no sign of even scraps of its previous dignity. The only things left are items you have to pay someone to remove. We booked this hotel well in advance as we would be attending a concert at nearby Jones Hall. The concert was cancelled, but we stayed the course because it was a 21c and we were headed to Chicago next. Then the very late announcement that 21C had pulled out of the Fordson location. No worries, Hyatt was to take over. Sounds safe right, Nope. That’s not real until next year. The hotel has been stripped of all art, most of its staff and the remaining bodies are dressed like maintenance staff and wholly uninterested in anything other than scanning your credit card. Hours in the Bodega and pool bar are limited and you are instructed to not take food and drink from any other part of the hotel to the pool. There is no Spa staff, they just type someone up from the local gig ads. The Sauna and steam room are cold as stone and smell of sewer. As you can see in the attached image, supposedly Avalon is the interim management and all their promises are untrue and frankly practically fraud. Ditch this option while you can and go to the Autograph just down the way.
Give it three stars because not family friendly had a guest shush us when walking to our room with a two year old not sound proof at all. Went to show the four year old the pool at 9pm after dinner meet by a twenty year old who informed the pool was only for adults after 9pm and the occupants were not guest. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for families would almost advertise “no children under 12”. Food was awesome other than the person at the pool staff was too. Nearby activities: Very nice view of downtown
Nice hotel! Nice pool and bar! Service was great! Location is great! Pool/bar it’s nice but a lot of flies! Not good if you gonna order a food! And drinks! Should have something to catch the flies around the pool! Just a suggestion!!Rooms: 5/5
