Ms. Renee at the front always has a welcoming smile. My kid prefers this gym to others because we've developed relationships with front staff and kids area staff. Equipment breaks, like everywhere, but they do a good job continuing maintenance. And as a female I have never felt uncomfortable in the free weight section. My preferred gym to lift.
Smaller location. Has good pool area hottub steam room. One story with not quite the array of equipment you'll find at others. I gave this location 4 stars because it is nice but the parking lot is shared with everyone else in the shopping center. The best vibe is at 24 hour fitness William Cannon. The nicest facilities is the Arboretum location.
Gym comments depend so much on what you look for in a workout. My focus is weight training mostly with machines, and they are pretty good in that area. Better than the other 24-hr fitness places I've been to. Staff has always been nice to me. Locker room isn't bad, but more shower stalls would be nice. Good that they have a pool. This place does not get as crowded as Parmer one, so that is a plus. Cardio machines could use some work. Overall pretty good gym.
I've been a member since they opened it Seen highs and lows but It changed about 2 yrs ago with a new manager. it is best shape ever, better than new fitness club. I think he is a longest staying manager so far and I can see the difference All of equipment oiled well and good working condition and they are take care of out of order one really fast.
The class times are awful. If you have a 9-5 you can kiss that "perk" goodbye. Also, NOBODY cleans equipment after done sweating all over it. Cmon now, basic gym etiquette needs to be mentioned to some of the clients. Offer some 5am or 6am group classesplease not all yoga and ones after 7pm during the week for us commoners with normal working hours. The layout is meh, not enough mirror space for free weights. A lot of cardio machines are halfway broken. The equipment is packed in tight in my opinion. Very annoying when machines cannot be adjusted due to misuse and lack of maintenance. I know it happens, as is a gym, but it is obvious to see some are broke by just walking past. Clean locker room/showers and the staff is not annoyingly asking you 20 questions every two seconds. So that's a plus. I don't like being bothered, so I enjoy that they keep to themselves. : members seem cool and not overly social, again gymtime isn't social hour so I'm ok with that as well.
I love my usual 24H fitness I go to but today at this location I ran into a very rude and aggressive man in street clothes who claimed to be a manager. He demanded I re-rack my weighs and if I didn't he would ban me from the gym. I attempted to go do as he told me to do but he kept following me and threatening me with the ban. I would suggest next time you introduce yourself politely and have a friendly conversation with your customer. I might come in and take you up on that ban because I won't be coming back to this location.
The equipment is a little old. The gym needs to be updated, but the people are nice and friendly and all the classes are included with membership. I've lost 20 pounds since I started at this gym 7 months ago, so apparently it works.
The customer service is very disappointing. I was told that if I needed to I could freeze my account for 6 months after which, if I had not reactivated my account, it would be automatically cancelled. When I went on vacation in 2011, I went ahead and had my account frozen. However, a week ago I noticed that 24 hour fitness has been charging my bank account for the past 13 months! It turns out they had reactivated my account instead. Upon visiting the club and calling customer service, I was told that they would only refund 2 months and would not even roll over the payments to future months so I could at least make use of some of the membership. A simple notification stating that my account had been reactivated would have been very helpful. I would not recommend such as establishment to anyone.
TERRIBLE PERSONAL TRAINERS!!! As a trainer myself in another gym I like to observe other trainers for ideas and tips. But the majority of the time the trainers, on the floor, are either playing on their phones or just talking about BS. Especially the guy with the crazy beard and the, caucasian guy with the skinny legs. I don't see any desire from them to motivate their members. They are more worried about what other people are doing than actually focusing on training and inspiring their members to push harder. I would rather flush my money down the toilet then pay them. The reason why I give this gym three stars is because of its location, pool, and equipment. Also the class instructors are very impressive especially Angela and TJ.
I just signed up in January and every month they charge me 3 additional charges of $3 on top of my monthly payment. When I inquired as to why the lady at the desk said it should go back into my account soon, it hasn't. Now the gyms and closed and so are their call centers and I'm stuck in a contract with a gym I can't even go to.
