Service was slow but that was definitely expected. There was a huge group that came in before us and you should expect that juicy Lucy's take longer to cook. I had the jalapeno popper juicy Lucy with no bun and sweet potato fries. I was one of the best I had and would definitely go again. I thought the fries were fine perfectly. The service was slow but very good. The staff was very helpful and attentive.
I had the meatloaf special...DELICIOUS!! & I had plenty enuf so I cud take some home to enjoy later. The server was very nice & gave us just the right amount of attention. Vegetarian options: A few different choices...my friend loved her vegetarian burger. Kid-friendliness: Nice kid's menu available...clean high chairs...crayons & paper to draw on.
Juicy Lucy at its finest. The burger, incredible. The staff, just the right amount of "ef off" energy. Bottom line here and I'll keep it short, these burgers are phenomenal. You ain't comin here for the sweet peaches or the hospitality, you coming for the burgers and they sure are extraordinary. Pic attached.
Cheese curds were plentiful and big. They don't have the taste quality of state fair curds but were still better than most. The Juicy Lucy's and burgers are okay. I usually get just cheese on it.. yes plain however, I don't have the lack of flavor at other restaurants. The burgers just seem to need a little seasoning on them. They aren't bad but something is missing. Fries were okay. We don't recall disliking the fries here but maybe something changed? I've gotten carrot sticks vs fries the last few times but was in the mood for fries last night. We like the wings. The only complaint is sometimes they are cooked perfect and are moist and juicy, other times they are overcooked with pieces so hard you can't eat them. It's unfortunately pretty close to a 50-50 chance and that's the only reason why we stopped dining here as often. We usually get the Buffalo, Sweet Chili or PB&J. The PB&J was a pleasant surprise the first time we tried them. We got 6 pieces of celery with 24 wings. I prefer a couple more. I really liked the ranch. It was a good in-between consistency of thick and runny. It had a house made flavor. Bleu cheese is good as well. It's not super chunky but has a good amount of chunks for us. They have a kid's menu that comes with crayons. Service had always been great, including interactions with management. There is also a 3% service charge. Reason: "A surcharge of 3% will be added to your bill to offset the increasing employee retention and benefit cost. This added fee is not gratuity." Kid-friendliness: Kid's menu with 4 crayons, high chairs
Was in there last night for a delicious juicy Lucy and was taken back by how caring and courteous our server Ashley was. She answered all our questions about the menu and even gave great recommendations for our kid. I will defiantly be back for the food and her hospitalityFood: 5/5
It is a good place to eat. However when your a delivery driver don't count on getting much help, Especially from the bartender during the day. I am a very understanding person, as I have worked in the service industry for years, so I give a lot of leeway when it comes to certain things. I walked in and no one was there to help. Not a soul. Like a ghost town. So I walk to the bar area talk to the pull tab lady, she tells me to let the bartender know and she will help me out. Cool no problem. I go over politely inquire about said order. She then scowls at me like I'm annoying her and says "yeah, give me a minute". So ok I do. You think she even attempted to go back and get the costumers order? No. Instead she turns around goes back to laughing with her bar patrons as if I did not exist. So I left. Here's the thing, if she was busy I totally would have understood. But 3 people total in the whole place who are drinking and happy, and you can't go in the kitchen to check on the order? Just so I know it's at least being prepared. No of course not. Her patrons and her conversation with them was far more important the the costumers and drivers who most likely help keep this place going. At the end of the day. If you don't want to work or help just say that, don't look at me like I pooped In your Wheaties. P.s old looking, skinny tall lady with long blood ponytail. Thank you that is all.
Honestly, this location is much better than the Minneapolis one. This location has liquor, full bar, amazing staff, and a great new manager. The manager had stepped in for a half hour to relieve the bartender so he could have a break and something to eat and was pouring drinks and delivering great customer service like you expect any manager to do. The burger was absolutely fantastic and now that we live closer in the area I’m looking forward to visiting this location a lot more often!
First time I’m going here I really liked it. Funny I have lived in Champlin for 11 years and I have not tried it before but it was awesome. Service was really good. She was very helpful. Food was delicious. Definitely going back. Outside is a pet friendly place. I really like it because we have a dog. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a parking spot
Great 5-8 location! My wife got the spicy Lucy and I had their fried shrimp: Both were yummy! The patrons were all friendly too; we made friends with a couple there which was fun! The service is really impressive! In particular, Brenda is a mega rock star! She's attentive, friendly, funny, and FAST! We'll be back again to visit!
We ordered thru Doordash. Got the Reuben sandwich, which was a tad disappointing. The corn beef was tough and seemed like it was old beef. There wasn't a lot of meat in there. The pepper jack juicy Lucy was okay - mind you, whatever cheese you ordered, came inside the juicy lucy. We had the chips and salsa, salsa was bland. Seemed like the only good thing we had were the fries, crunchy and flavorful.
