Dr. Wise is an incredible vet! My 15 year old cat has been declining for a couple years and with her guidance and support she has really perked up! I really appreciate Dr. Wise being patient with all my questions. She has called me at home multiple times to check in and answer my questions. I truly feel she has helped extend the quality of life for my cat and I am very grateful. Dr. Leech has been great as well! Dr. Leech has made some awesome medication recommendations and never puts pressure on you to do expensive treatments. The only reason I couldn't give this business 5 stars is the check in process/ appointment making process is a bit cumbersome. Sometimes you can be on hold for a long time or you have to go to an emergency vet clinic because they don't have any openings. Hoping this will continue to improve as we see the pandemic come to a close. Thank you for taking such good care of my pets!
Friendliest staff ever. So kind & informative, didn’t mind me asking a million questions. They’re a tad pricier than I’m use to but they’re great with my dogs- so it’s worth it. Such nice people. Also a nice, clean facility. The benches in the exam rooms were great bc my dogs could sit with me, that helped calm them down. Only issue I had was the parking situation. Wasn’t sure where to park, there wasn’t signs but I found street parking so wasn’t a huge deal. Highly recommend from this picky dog mom.
Poor values. Horrible experience with clinic management and was treated without any compassion or concern for my or my dog’s health. I’ve brought my dogs here for years, but this clinic is not what it used to be. Management has changed for the worst which is sadly the reason why I will no longer bring my dogs to this clinic. I am pregnant and was sick prior to bringing in my dog who had an ear infection and needed treatment. I was running 15 min late and called to explain why. The office manager, Meghan, had zero sympathy for my extenuating circumstances and told me if I arrived more than 10 min late due to an arbitrary office policy that was unknown to me not because they didn’t have the time, I would be turned away and would have to reschedule. She did not care about my dog’s health or mine or my baby’s and would not make a 5 minute one time exception. It was so upsetting. I will find a vet who has more heart and understanding. **Update to address 5280’s reply. No one offered any alternatives or resolutions. That is a lie. They absolutely just did not care. Dr. Wise is out on maternity leave. When she learns about how horrible they are running her practice while she is out, she will be very upset.
We take our English Bulldog here. He loves it, the staff has always been very flexible and helpful. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic!
I am always impressed with the care I receive at 5280. They have fit me in on short notice multiple times and have been extremely thorough in care and in following up. The veterinarians are so caring and kind and are sure to explain everything fully and with patience. Everyone in the office is so kind and I trust my fur baby in their hands. THANK YOU 5280 vet.
I've been a client since this vet has opened and my pets have always received amazing care. Unfortunately today I have to find a new vet due to an office policy decision to not provide a prescription refill to my cat, who was last in their office 4 months ago. Withholding care to my cat due to a policy decision, not a medical one, is immoral. Edit: Thank you for the reply, I have not received a single call, voicemail, or email from you. So I'm not sure why you are saying you've tried to contact me. Also if you read the review, this is a refill, not starting the medication. So I'm not sure why you are lying?
We've been taking our two cats here for annual checkups for years. There are always very caring, gentle, animal-loving vets and staff. Very knowledgeable and thorough. Highly recommend!
We had a great first experience at 5280 Veterinary Care! From the first call, the staff was amazing and gracious, kind and informative. We look forward to building a long relationship with this team.
My elderly dog has been seeing Dr. McDowell here since we moved to Denver 6 months ago, and I am so grateful to be working with her while handling with my dog's life-long mobility issues and now potential cancer diagnosis and treatment. I leave every visit with Dr. McDowell feeling confident in the care plan we've chosen. She takes the time to explain things fully and answer all of my many questions, even if it's the 5th or 6th time I've called that month. She's also maybe the first vet we've had that understands cost can be an issue, and works within my budget and with his insurance company to get my dog the best care possible. The rest of the office staff and vet techs I've interacted with are also very helpful and kind. I trust this office 100x more than any of the offices we visited in Boulder. If I had known about this place when we lived there I honestly would have made the trip down.
5280 has taken care of our cats and dogs in their health and illness and at end of life, and staff have always been kind, caring, and are invested in the comfort and well-being of our beasties. I never feel like they're suggesting expensive treatments just to make money--they suggest treatments appropriate to the situation and explain the treatment and cost and alternate options.
