The service staff is great and friendly. The food was delicious. I got the draft root beer and a Michigan Cherry salad with grilled chicken. This is a romaine salad with dried Michigan Cherries, walnuts, grilled chicken and a raspberry vinaigrette.
What a neat little cafe. The food was amazing and the staff even better. I had the cherry chicken wrap and house slaw. Wow. It was Delicious. Prices were spot on. Fancy delicious food for fast food prices. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
I want to preface this review by stating that the food is good, at least what I had was good. For the price, not worth it. $10 for a small sandwich and tiny side of pasta salad. The sandwich, which I ordered with a "brioche bun" was nothing more than a hamburger bun. The drink I ordered came in a glass that smelled like it was washed with a musty old rag. The decor is... dated and strange. It's like they couldn't decide which direction to go with it so they threw something together. And the rebel road gear for sale everywhere is just tacky. This place had potential, but it severely missed the mark.
The food was good, but a little pricey. The service was terrible, the woman taking my order was extremely rude. She did not talk to me at all, and looked away from me when I ordered. She was surprised when I took a debit card out of my wallet. She was nice to other customers. I do not know if it was because I was a single female eating by herself which is an issue in Muskegon or if she thought I was poor another issue in Muskegon. I will definitely not go back, Fatty Lumpkins has no problem with “people like me”.
We were bummed they were supposed to have side dishes included with the meals and then said they were out of materials to make side dishes so asked if we wanted chips instead.. we took the chips and so they charged us extra money for them . Wow... they said the burger for making tacos went bad so instead I chose the pizza and when it came I realized 10 dollars was way to much for the equivalent of a 2 dollar frozen box French bread pizza .. .. the really sad part is they had us pay upfront for everything even though they couldn’t actually make the items we ordered and had to chose alternates from menu. When I did use my card prior to ordering the girl at the counter said to check one of the tip amounts then sign on screen.. strange paying and being made to chose a tip amount even though we hadn’t gotten our food. 45 dollars when it should have been about 5 ...
Food was ok, Service is main reason for 2 stars. Ordered 2 wraps 1st one came out quickly, 2nd took approximately another 12 minutes. Recieved 3 different answers about why it was taking so long. When 2nd wrap got to the table it looked as if it was constructed in 30 seconds while, the 1st one was tight and well put together. The taste of the wraps was like any other place that serves wraps. Coleslaw was the only saving grace to this whole dining experience.
Chicken spatzle little dumpling soup. Best home made ckn soup I ever had. Friends had a Ruben and a Tuna melt.They enjoyed as well. Recommend.
Michigan Chicken Cherry wrap was great! Side pasta didn't seem to be made in house. Prices seemed reasonable.
Was a little disappointed after hearing such good things. Service was very friendly. The food was good, just okay for the price though. Also, they charge you an extra fee if paying with card which is not posted anywhere and the person working didn’t even know about it when I questioned.
Very cool new addition the downtown! I had a great Michigan Cherry Chicken Wrap with a side of chips and dip. Their french onion dip is FIYAAAAA
