Update - ok, so now I REALLY don't like being here. I was in the kitchen heating up my food when I overheard the staff reading my negative review out loud as it had just been sent to them by the owner. Awkward. Now to make things worse, management has responded to my review saying I'm exaggerating the waiting time for the shuttle. And yes, Justice the driver and the receptionist who's name I haven't gotten were most certainly using the pool. And that's fine, who can begrudge anyone a dip on a hot day? But I don't want to have to hear their music while trying to take a nap. *** I'm here right now and have mixed feelings. I had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle while bone tired after a long-haul flight. When I questioned if it was still coming I was told to "just relax". Later that day the power went out and I had to ask the receptionist to switch on the generator - and then chase up on that request 10 minutes later - to meet a deadline. The next day the shower had no hot water but that was fixed by getting someone to open a tap outside. Now I'm trying to nap and the staff are in the pool playing music. I've asked them to politely turn it down and they did but I could hear them laughing at my back. I now have a question about breakfast tomorrow but at this point I feel like I'm an unwelcome pest and I don't want to go back out there and intrude on their party. On the upside, my room is large and clean, the bed is firm and comfy and the pool area is lovely.

5 stars to Lerato, she made everything worth it...She deserves a huge bonus. There's a lot of improvements to be made, place very average but has great potentialRooms: 3/5

I've never been to this hotel/lodge before and everyday I get a missed call from them. When I answer, the person doesn't speak, it's creepy and making me uncomfortable. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME!!!

I really enjoyed my stay, it's very clean and the stuff is very friendly. The pool was abit dirty though. I don't know if they clean it seasonal. Rooms are contemporary designed, very nice and clean, the beds are very comfortable.

After an 11hr flight, used the contact numbers to arrange transport that went unanswered. After waiting over an hour eventually made comms, to be collected in something that smelt like a 20yr old ashtray. The room dustbin had not been cleared of the used coffee and tea of previous guests - stay at City Lodge, quicker, easier and you get what you pay for.

The staff is highly efficient and accommodating. They were considerate enough to allow me to check in slightly after midnight. The room I stayed in was clean and looked great. Breakfast was wonderful, they had a variety of options on their menu. I would stay here again.

This was a great place for a quick stop over after dropping some family off at the airport! The rooms are well thought out and have a very luxurious feel! Breakfast was included and they also offer an honesty bar for those late night snack/drink cravings Value for money yes!
