1/. Africa Travel Co is an African based company and therefore very “hands on” with what is happening in the countries we travel through.
2/. We are the ONLY overland tour company to have 3 operational bases in Africa: Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Cape Town. Therefore we have unparalleled support to our passengers and crew, should it be required.
3/. Our ATC scheduled camping trips are accompanied by 3 crewmembers, a mechanically sound driver, enthusiastic and knowledgeable trip leader and a safari chef with an extensive and varied bush menu.
4/. We have an enormous frequency of guaranteed, scheduled departure dates operating in a Northbound and Southbound direction, which offers continuous sales opportunities for agents.
5/. We have scheduled trips to choose from, ranging from 5 days to 56 days. Therefore we have something that will suit every clients need when it comes to adventure travel.
6/. We do not have an upper age limit and will happily carry any client suitably fit for adventure travel and camping although we do require a doctor’s note if you are over 60.
7/. Our trips are great value for money without giving away quality. Our tiered pricing structure ensures our client’s save on entries, camping, National Park fees & their food kitty as this is calculated into their local payment.
8/. We use mainly Mercedes Benz and MAN trucks, individually designed for comfort and space. The height provides excellent game viewing and a spacious interior ensures comfort. All our trucks are fully equipped for each safari.
9/. Our management all live work and have travelled in Africa, which means our combined knowledge of the countries we travel through is of the highest experience.
10/. We employ local staff on the road and in our offices, thus contributing to the local economy of the countries we operate in and providing clients with a true insight into African culture.
11/. All our vehicles have full passenger and company liability insurance for 100 million Rand.
12/. Besides our scheduled brochure trips we co-ordinate a large variety of private group charters for agents and clients. These are ideal for groups of students, university study groups, incentive trips or private groups with a tailor made itinerary – camping or accommodated.
