We had a great time in Cape Town. I recommend this company to everyone. Our tour guide name was Lucia Vieira, and she was amazing. I would also recommend using her personally. She was always on time she had great restaurant recommendations, and she made sure to help us bargain with the vendors . I give the company a 10 out of 10 and Lucia a 20 out of 10 she went above and beyond our expectations!!
We had Denzil as our driver/guide I can highly recommend him for his attention to detail and knowledge. We visited three wonderful wineries as per his recommendations. I would not hesitate to have him look after us again.
We had the best experience with Djamel and highly recommend him for any type of tour. He is extremely knowledgeable and took care of us perfectly. Thank you for showing us all the secret spots as well, off the tourist path, and accommodating to all our requests! We will be back for sure thanks to you!!
Jarat was used for our transportation to/ from the airport. We had good transportation experiences with our drivers. When we arrived to CPT for our flight we were met with 1 agent and someone to help with the bags. They led us to the ticket counter and helped us check in, while this was kind it was a bit overwhelming. The man that helped with bags was maybe with us for a total of 5 mins and asked us for a tip. We are accustomed to tipping but in the midst of locking our bags, making sure we have passports and being flustered - it felt so incredibly rude to be asked to tip. My cash was safely stowed away and i had to dig through my bag while this man stood there waiting for me to tip him. All i could find was 200 Rand which is honestly way too much for what he helped with. I felt taken advantage of.
My husband and I have just had a holiday in South Africa. We spent 6 days in Cape Town and during that time used Jarat tours. All the guides/drivers were polite, helpful, informative and flexible. One guide in particular named Kyle was really great, knowledgeable, very entertaining and made us laugh so much I cried laughing on the top of table mountain. He couldn’t have been more helpful, always on time and everywhere we went people knew him and welcomed us warmly. I can not recommend him enough. He is a lovely young man passionate about his job and doing it well. Thank you Kyle you made the last two days of our holiday so much fun. Brilliant! Arthur and Susie Crammon, Spain.
We had a fantastic 4 days in Cape Town. So much of this was due to our great drivers and tour guide provided by Jarat. Special shout-out to our guide Moria Edmunds. She was extremely knowledgeable and we could tell how passionate she is about her work. Moria went above and beyond to provide us excellent service and made us feel special. Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable!
Recent experience booking Jarat tours for high end guests was a nightmare. We run a tight ship, a positive connotation for our guests, but this was too much for Jarat. Some of the chauffeurs were great, others got lost or did not have the drop-off address. Confirming names of chauffeurs for airport meet and greet was always delayed - incorrect invoicing. Never again, not at the rates they charge.
We had 3 days of fabulous touring in Capetown, Wine country and Cape peninsula with Ken Thompson. Ken is extremely knowledgeable, with a deep love of South Africa and sharing his knowledge. He is engaging, enthusiastic and understanding of the interests of his guests--well able to make adjustments to accommodate those. We enthusiastically recommend Jarat and Ken in particular!
Mike went out of his way to give us a proper authentic wine lands tour that was definitely one of the best experiences we have ever had! Five star service from an amazing tour guide that knows how to wow his customers! We will definitely use his service again the next time we are down in Cape Town again.
