From trading wares on the side of the road to the trove of unique treasures you see in our Kramerville warehouse today, our adventures have yielded great things. Every object, hand-woven fabric, work of craft, photographic print, canvas and piece of furniture is made up of that adventure called Amatuli. Far the best place in Africa to shop exclusif and African vintage interior artifacts. Huge variety.
It's a huge warehouse on three floors with eclectic items from around the world - mostly from Africa. You can probably find all souvenirs and gifts you are looking for here, and at a better price and in nicer ambience than at tourist shops and airport. Bring time to explore and focus on the local-traditional or local-designers' products. If you need a break you can get a coffee or drink and sit in their café or on the veranda in the back of the store. We bought grain sorting baskets for wall decoration, woven baskets made in Rwanda for bread, a clay pot for plants on the terrace, and a pair of modern brass ear-rings from a local designer. I was a bit sad to find the "African" wax print fabrics to be produced in Asia, so we decided against buying them. The service was very friendly and helpful. The shop is in a safe area of the town and free parking is easy to find.
Diabolical service. Stay away I spent over R200,000 with them for my new home. I reported a wood borer infestation with a R1000 mirror. We didn't pick up this infestation within their 21 day window for notification. I was offered a 48 hour fumigating process in Johannesburg but I am based in the lowveld and unable to take them up on this offer. A gesture of goodwill in light of being a long standing and loyal customer of their would have gone a long way. Instead the rule book was thrown at me. Very disappointed and I won't be visiting them again or recommending them to anyone.
beautiful stock but wow are they expensive!!. also tables are beautiful but the legs of these tables look locally made from pine. not nice

Mark's store remains a treasure trove of authentic Africana and is a must visit when in Jo'burg.
You have to go there at least once ! Amazing place for all your crafts, gifts or for some inspiration redesigning your interior ! The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help ! Don’t hesitate to go for a cup of coffee or some nachos at the restaurant outside, both delicious

An eclectic collection of really cool pieces from artwork, mirrors, pillows, sculpture and furniture. The conncted latin restaurant was tasty too.
Pleasantly surprised the the sheer amount of options they had. And some actually good prices. Will be back!
