Amazing shark diving experience. This was my first shark dive and I was pretty nervous, but the Aqua Planet team were very friendly and answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable and safe throughout my experience.
Absolutely amazing and the best experience of my life. Thank you so much Michelle for being the best under water photographer i have ever met. You have some serious ____ to do what you do. The last time I dived was over ten years ago. Therefore, I arrived at the Aqua Planet Dive Center with a little nervious, but the staff were very friendly and taught me a lot, so my nervousness was quickly relieved. I chose Aqua Planet Dive Center because I wanted to see real sharks in South Africa. I was able to see a lot of tiger sharks, bull sharks, and a group of dolphins in the sea, whether it was a baid dive and reef dives, and it was an experience that exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the hammerhead sharks... The staff took videos during the dives and shared them to me after the dives. I am very happy to receive the precious videos. Someday, I would like to come again to Aqua Planet Dive Center.
I loved diving with them and had a great time. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about the ocean, and share that with their customers. Everything worked very well and was professional. Our guide Arno really did an amazing job. Also, it's good to have nitrox to enjoy a bit more bottom time. Last but not least, the ocean delivered and we saw lots of amazing stuff. I didn't factor that into the review because it's mostly beyond human control. At the beginning of February we had good surface conditions, the water temperature was between 23 and 26 degrees, visibility was between 10 and 25m. We saw a huge Marlin, dolphins, bullsharks, great hammerheads, scalloped hammerheads, guitar sharks, black oceanic sharks, lots of raysround ribbon tail and eagle and small tunas, Barracudas... The dives that we did were not for beginner / inexperienced divers, because of the depth, nitrox and conditions.
Amazing decision to choose this dive center and this location for have the best encounters experiences with sharks in all South Africa. The organization is shaped and perfect, the installations and staff the best. Michelle was our guide in most of the dives, she is professional and she knows perfectly how to manage close with sharks. Then we meet Kim, and she made excellent all our dives and accomodation logistics. Talking about sharks, yes, in all our dives we got encounters with oceanic black tip mostly, and raggies mostly, and we spot bull sharks and hammer heads, in only 4 dives all this happen. Definetly, we will come back to South Africa and dive with them, one of the best dive centers.
Today I went to Aqua planet dive centre filled with fear and anxiety. And I wasn't even going to dive. I was just a passenger, but have never done a launch from a beach trough the surf or went so far into the sea. And to be honest, it was a terrifying thought for me. But from the beginning every member of the staff was so reasuring and friendly. They made me feel at ease and assisted where they could. They even aplauded me when we went through the surf, I loved that. I stayed on the surface while the divers went down and the skipper was so pleasant and told me so many stories of dives and past experiences. The dive master was very professional with his instructions and leadership with the divers and I could tell that they enjoyed it when they surfaced. I even got a shark tooth from the DM. I do not know much of diving, but after today I can honestly say that I want to start learning how to dive so that I can come back and do a propper full trip with them. I will recommend Aqau planet to anyone coming to experience the trill of diving with sharks.
BEST dive charter on south coast. Very structured dive. Super strong boat with very friendly ladder for the not so bendy like me. Excellent briefing, skippering and DM. Awesome dive with whatever nature decided to throw at us. Thank you Aqua Planet......dive club rocks!!
Kyle and company run a great relaxed and safe dive operation! Did a drift over the southern pinnacle into the raggie cave which is surreal... Look out for fallen teeth! Unfortunately the hammers didn't make an appearance but a bull shadowed us from the deep followed by a playful black-tip. The baited dive had 4 chilled bulls who came right up to eye level. Probably happy after they taxed 2 tuna from a fishing boat. Would go back tomorrow if canada wasn't so far away
Amazing diving with Aqua Planet Dive Center , would always recommend diving with them. Amazing team and awesome memories.
I had amazing 2 dives with lots of sharks. The team was super professional and it was a great overall experience. Will definitely come again!
