I gave them a call and was told that renovations were needed, well the damages are visible when you pass by. Looks like there is a lot of potential in this building if renovations would happen! It could be such a nice place for a swimm, but it sadly looks very runed down & abandoned. Squatters sleep at the entrance. Can't understand how a municipality would let such a treasure for families, children & the city in general go into ruin.
This saddens me, a heritage site in Bloemfontein, in ruin. In its heyday it brought so much joy to children. Can the municipality to bring it back to its former glory. Imagine how many children, caged in all the surrounding apartments, would want to learn how to swim or go for a swim! A true old gem. Who can we contact ?
I base my rating on my experience 40 years ago. Most propabely one of the best municipal pools is the world. It's sad that the current municipal is not possible to maintaine one of the best pool in South Africa. Shame on you Bloemfontein. Shame on you. Shame..... Sad
Seems the municipality has abandoned it. Dirty, smelly, minimal security etc
