Small neat branch at Hoedspruit Airport.  To be able to get a car you should book ahead as they have only few on stand by  very tiny airport . 3 times got brand new car and was a smooth experience. Nicolas was assisting and helpful .

Let's just say the matters is with my lawyers, they didn't give me my deposit back, my mistake was not checking reviews with them prior to making a booking, because I realized that not refunding deposits is their latest operation, you'd trust such an industry leader would have good business practice but nah, not AVIS, since January nothing, it's even a mission just to get a call center. The pandemic had a huge impact on us all, you cant recover lost profits on our deposits. You deserve below zero

I have been renting cars from here several times. But now they changed their service and when returning your car they do no longer provide you with any kind of confirmation that the car is returned and ok. They take the car and within 48-72 hours you will get the final invoice without any kind of control or knowledge if they "find" a damage or claim the tank was not full etc.... As you need to sign a very comprehensive contract and agree to everything this is atleast minimal to request - a receipt that they receive the car back.!

Avis Car Rental @ Eastgate Airport.  This is a lovely little rental place. The staff are very friendly and helpful.  Just make sure you remember to fill up in town as the nearest petrol station is 15 minutes away.

Never again! They have their office in a little shack, with garbage and broom everywhere on the floor, tried to rip us of for a small paint chip the size of a fly on the bumper.... which was probably already there... cost us 250$ usd which of course they charged couples days later when you are out of town. Staff looks lazy AF. You should rent from another brand if you dont want any trouble.

The van was in great shape and drove well and good luggage space for group of 7.

not bad for so few alternatives
