Not happy with your cancellation policy at your salon. Your policy says 48 hours of cancellation. It doesn't say exclude Sunday.! My appointment was on Monday and I cancelled on Friday assuming I'm within cancellation hours. Little did I know, the system couldn't cancell my appointment because I was out of 48 hours!!! That's a joke!! And it smells like fraud!!!
As we were growing tired of doing our two daughters hairstyles ourselves, we decided to get some professional help and ended up choosing Younique. I must say i have mixed feelings about my experience here but in general I didn't enjoy my experience there.On one hand I was charged way more than I was initially quoted because the job ran on for longer than expected but on the other hand, one of the 2 stylist was really engaging and fun while the other looked like she had some place else to be. Wasn't a welcoming atmosphere and felt out of sorts the entire time we were there. Paid £80 each for my 7 and 8 year old to get detailing, wash and trim . Ended up going into London to get it all done again including cornrows plaits for just under £50. I would not be returning nor would I recommend Younique to anyone.

Booked appointment for 3.30pm got there 15mins early only to be told appointment time is changed to 4.30pm wait or “sorry”. What followed was unbelievable to this end l will not return and the charged me for the full price bearing in mind my hair was not done and l had to leave .
Younique hair provides excellent service, , warm friendly, polite& cultural thank you for always helping me look fantastic for my every occasions nearly 20 years of fabulous hair style i have just put a few of them kujay love you lots God bless you for putting up with me ,
Messaged on a Sunday afternoon to find out more info re booking an appointment for box braids as I have European hair. Got me booked in for the next day. I've only ever had braids done by friends before and never in a salon, paying that little bit extra was so worth it. Very friendly atmosphere and made to feel very welcome. Tina did a fantastic job of my braids, and because they were waist length the other stylists supported with the plaiting when they didn't have clients to speed up the braiding process. Absolutely loved the teamwork. Even though they closed at 6 they continued for an extra half hour to finish my hair - most salons would have told me to come back the next morning. Fair prices, I travelled from Reading as they didn't increase their prices because my hair was European. I am really fussy about hair, more than anything else. When I spend money on something I want what I pay for. Unfortunately I’m not happy at all about the recent experience to Younique. If I come and I show the picture on how I would like an hairstyle I want an honest answer which can be “we cannot do that hairstyle on you” or “we will do something similar” etc instead of saying “yes” but at the end of the appointment I see an hairstyle I’ve specifically said I didn’t want and having an answer like “the will come on the pic by the time” which is quiet easy to say after you have done the job and pretend to be paid. Money doesn’t grow from trees and as I said I’m really fussy about my hair so I felt like I’ve waisted 60£ for something I don’t even like which lasted only 3 days cause I couldn’t see me with it. Please be honest with your customers
This place is so bad. I rang few days ago and one of the girl’s agreed to do my hair. I asked her for a ruller set. She started with blow drying my dry hair without using a heat protector or anything at all and I had lot’s of breakage. Then she washed my hair very aggressively and pulling and hurting my scalp. And the rullers she used on my hair had hair from other clients. I had to remove the hair from the rollers one by one as she asked me to give her a hand. The place was very dirty aswell lot’s of hair on the floor and everywhere. I guess you get what you pay for. This place doesn’t worth it.
If you arrive on time for your appointment you will most likely be waiting around an hour or two before they actually begin. Some of the staff are barely trained so don't be surprised when they over charge you for a low quality service. They used to have very good staff but it has changed and the pricing is ridiculous. They will try to charge you full price for a service even if your hair is short and it took a fraction of the standard time to complete. Make sure you clarify the price before you begin on the service because they will add extra. They also are not aware of the law, masks are a choice not something that is to be forced.
