Post office was closed at 4.40 today Saturday. A sign on the door of McCalls says the post office is open when the shop is. Clearly not. It's also not open until 5.30, which is the time on Google. This is supposed to be the main Post Office in Bedford. Please someone put the correct opening hours on the door of the shop and on Google. I made a wasted journey into town, and I'm sure a lot of other customers will have done too.
The newsagent opens at 7am and could sell you some stamps, the post office proper isn't open till 9am so save yourself a wasted journey.
Sent a small parcel using Tracked 48 at 10am on 30th of March to Isle of Man, according to the tracking code it was received by Douglas sorting office at 8.47am 3rd of April. For the past two daysexcluding Easter weekend the information said "it is now due for delivery today" checked again this afternoon for a third time and still not delivered today 12th April. Several times I've had this type of problem with Bedford Post Office/Royal Mail over the past few yearsmainly receiving post, absolutely sick of them. It's no surprise it's been reported they get little public support when on strike, a shockingly bad delivery service The staff in the Post Office on the other hand I have to say were polite and friendly and it's hardly their fault.
Horrible post office and delivery.sent expensive items on 2 different occasions to Hull,and on both times items were missing .never received.always giving an excuse to wait 10working days ,despite paying first class
Excellent service each and every time! The staff is always kind and helpful, with everyone. Royal Mail employees should get more respect as in 4 years of using RM I had 0 issues and they've been more than helpful despite being understaffed and under pressure. Recommended 10/10
Not open untill 5pm on Sunday, it shuts at 3pm. Found out the hard way.

Worse experience ever I walked in with my friend which ye had to send he's documents to dvla already in an envelope from dvla the lady at number 4 till she was confusing my friend saying he needs to put all his documents in an other envelope that she will give him for documents to come back which they did not as there was gone be a new uk driving licence which dvla sends back in one of their envelope. She raise her voice which made me feel uncomfortable instead of using a calm voice . I've asked for her name so I can complain which she did not gave it ,after we finished with all documents I asked her again and even one of her colleagues said she will have to and then if I complain I will deal with it . Still she didn't saying a big no. So I told her she needs to work on her customer serv8ce which is rubbish . When ever I will use again the service I will never want the lady to help as she's only confusing and she makes customers to spent for no reason money .
Website shows opening hours on a normal Monday until 8pm. Paid £2.00 to park at Greyfriars 17.26 for 34 mins parking time. Walked in at 17.30 and told they close at 17.00. The McColls shop is open until 20.00. Not much use if you need the Post Office services. Not the staff's fault, someone with a brain needs to rectify the messaging online. Suggest you call before setting off as to avoid disappointment and wasted parking fees!
Literally the slowest Post Office service I've ever got to experience in the last 5 years of frequent posting, including compared to East London convenient shop type of Post Offices. You will find 6 desk out of which ONLY 2 are opened when the queue continues to grow ... Waited approx 30 min for less 20 seconds drop off ... Get machines! It's 2022!
