All you do is show up and trust us to satisfy with our seasonal fair. We source from local sustainable producers and use every part of the animal.You can expect some dishes that might test your boundaries, but we always balance our menu so that everyone will enjoy the experience.The 20 seats make for a very personal dining experience, as we do everything from cooking to serving our food.Belly of the beast works on online reservations only. a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking."

Glad to have finally experienced this establishment. Their dishes are immaculate, l found it interesting how the cooking process eliminates any overpowering flavors from meat that you would expect to have a game like taste. You definitely need to be at peace with whichever diet you choose as some meat selections can take you by surprise. I find there is an ingenuity in offering many diet choices & catering accordingly.  Staff are pleasant however there is a quiet nervousness that makes you feel like a show is about to start & that takes away from the atmosphere.

This is the number one restaurant I recommend to people visiting Cape Town! Every time I’ve been here I’ve been amazed at the experience and care they put into the food. They took special care of my dietary requirements while I was pregnant, which I really appreciate. I love that they use every part of the animal and challenge your taste buds without overdoing it. Thank you Belly of the Beast!

Went there on the evening of 23 May 2023, for my birthday dinner. We were met with the loveliest, friendliest and the most attentive staff. From the first to the last dish, everything including the wine pairing was exquisite. Belly of the Beast for the win! I'll be coming back. I loved the variety of dishes and the explanation of each dish and wine. The bathroom is clean as well. Parking wasn't an issue for us but rather use an uber as the wine will hit you once you leave the establishment. We came in hungry and left with a full belly and joy in our hearts.  Parking: There is parking in front of the building but the car guard only accepts cash.

I was with a group of people here, we all enjoyed it and the food was fantastic. Drinks were good and we enjoyed the deserts. Service was great and we tipped well but unfortunately something was missing. I just think maybe the decor could be warmer it just felt cold to us, very dull. I feel like it needs something more like a quirkiness or something. Something to identify it. Don’t get me wrong loved  the food just wish it was a different setting.

One of the most amazing food experiences I had in my life. Food was amazing, service was impressive. I was pregnant - and they modified my food without me even asking - how thoughtful. Definitely worth it.Food: 5/5

We discovered this hidden gem in 2018/2019. Since then it has become an annual visit. With friends scattered around the globe it simply is the best place to break bread together. Everything is exceptional. Thank you

Had an amazing culinary lunch experience at Belly of the Beast. Each dish was unique and delicious. The chef is on point with each. The service was spectacular - both friendly but also doting. We never felt ignored for a moment. All 4 of us agreed the fish in curry sauce was our favorite - but they were all terrific. Reserve early because you don’t want to miss this. Oh yeah, and all that for ~$35 US pp!!!

Beautiful lunch experience for an excellent value for money! We enjoyed that all dishes were made from local ingredients and had a creative twist. The chocolate dessert was simply sublime! And better come hungry because all the food is pretty rich.  The only thing that sadly didn't live up to the expectations was wine pairing. We felt that not all wines were on point. But overall, highly recommended!
