My family has been consulting Dr James Van der Westhuyzen for 20 years. He is gently, thoughtful, conservative and courteous. We've always had prompt after hours treatment when dealing with emergencies. His professional recommendations and referrals where necessary have always been excellent. The dental nurse, Anchen, is a profoundly reassuring presence who always helps me get through treatments. I had excellent service when Dr James was on leave from Dr Hanneske Steyn. Many years ago there was a locum who wasn't on top of things and when I spoke about the issue, Dr James remedied it immediately. I can also heartily recommend the oral hygienists, Taj Falal, and Nasreen Khan. They both offer gentle treatment, giving important advice on hygiene. My dental health has dramatically improved since I was converted to the merits of having one's teeth cleaned professionally every six months.
I will NEVER go to another dentist again. Dr van der Westhuizen, his incredible wife and gentle assistant managed all the fear instilled by previous dentists. Handled gently, I really felt cared for and this was for an extraction.

Excellent service! Dr. Steyn performed my check-up and she was patient and gentle. The surgery also has really good Covid-19 safety measures in place. I was very pleased with the entire process.
Liezl has been my dentist for a number of years as well as my folks. I must say she always does an excellent job and goes out of her way to make sure you feel relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommended!
Two fillings and charged me R3000. The dentist drilled through my back molar into the gum. I was passing black stools blood for weeks. He was sitting in a chair when drilling. Its still painful months later. Don't go there.
