1. I was billed 4 months later, being informed that Discovery only made a partial payment. 2. Daughter was misdiagnosed with measels and that became a saga and issue with the creche and the health department. 3. Waiting times are ridiculous. The booking systems estimates a turnaround time of 15mins between patients, so you basically treated as livestock. You will book for 10am and come out of that place closer to 1pm more often than not. 4. Some of the admin staff need to be educated in terms of their duty of care working in the health sector including having some form of decorum as some of them are extremely miserable and rude. 5. 3yr old daugher is charged the full consultation fee of R514 fair however during the exact same visit, my wife asks a medical question and a request for a prescription, that question and prescription cost another R514. So a visist with a mother and toddler just being in a room with the Doctor for 15mins can cost you R1028,00 take note that if you taking your kid don't mention anything about your health status as you will be charged for the doctor answering you. 6. I received a statement via email belonging to another patient with all that persons details which is in violation of the POPI Act. 7. Kept on milking my MSA by letting us come back all the time with my daughter who was in need of seeing an ENT specialists, but no its just a flu or allergies etc. All those visits were R514 excluding the meds she was fed. Changed over to Dr. Sharpey and she referred us to the ENT on her first observation / diagnosis. My daughter required grommets so yes loads of misdiagnosis resulting in me throwing funds down the toilet. 8. FINAL straw occured yesterday 28.06.23 whereby my 4yr old daughter needed to see a doctor and together with her mother were turned away like they are the scum of the earth for an outstanding amount of approximately R300 odd, which i owe being the main member. The admin lady told my wife to go make a payment arrangement upstairs and the account has been terminated. Note: for this visit they would have been paid in full as there are funds available within my MSA for 2023. I was paying them monthly along with the anethetist and the ENT specialist who i had to pay out of pocket due to MSA being depleted towards the later part of 2022, 80% used to fill their pockets. In hindsight i should have pushed everything out to early 2023 when my MSA would have been sufficient. Anyway they absolutely smashed my MSA this practice and lets not forget about their billing on Sundays :/ These 8 issues all took place within the space during the course of 22 and early 23. When my wife contacted me i was livid, told her to make use of another practice. 1 star for Sauls and 1 star for Sharpey. The rest of it belongs at Vissershok. They happy to take every cent they can get out of you or your medical aid but when there is a small amount outstanding they will even turn away a child who just recently celebrated there 4th birthday. Make use of the good old family practices folks. At least you will have a long term interpersonal relationship. You have the doctors cell number on your phone and you can contact him or her in nano seconds which cant be said for this practice. Ive used them for about 2 years due to living close by but its not worth it for all the problems that come along.
I visited your facility on 24 February 2023 and my doctor's appointment was with Dr Saul's. He was such an amazing doctor and explained my medical problems in a manner I could understand. He put me on treatment and was so professional and helpful. He is definitely one of the best doctor's I've seen and I want to thank him and Kenilworth Medicross for the excellent care and dedication shown towards us as patients. I had to also go the the Nursing Station for a number of tests and once again I was positively amazed by the kind, caring and professional treatment I received from the nurse who attended to me. Definitely a ten out of 10 for such awesome treatment. Thank you and so appreciated.
I made and appointment for Friday afternoon at 4.30 with Dr Solomon. I was seen right on time and he listened to my concerns and gave me a thorough exam snd prescribed the necessary medicine. I was able to get the medicine from the Clicks pharmacy right inside the building. I cannot say how grateful I was for the care taken. I highly recommend this clinic.
Excellent team that potentially saved a life and avoided a stroke by acting quickly. Fast reaction by reception & cashier and nursing staff in the emergency section. Thank you very much!!!!
You wait on average an hour for the doctor, they book a patient for every 15 minutes. The only reason I visit her is for Dr. Sauls who has been a great gp. Better than the others I have seen. However, he is only in from lunch. It's good to have your xrays, bloods and tests done on site. However the waiting time is always an issue.
Morning I had especially booked a 9am appointment to see Dr Sharpey-Schafer today. Informed a locum to see me. I was told a message had been sent to me. Correct 13.01 Sunday 19th. Could I not at least be given a 24hr cancellation notice as I would respectively do if I needed to cancel a doctors appointment? Kind regards Brenda lane Clinical Social Worker
Terrible experience. 4 appointments later and my teeth are still not right. Seen two dentists and a dental hygienist at this practice and received contradictory information about the health of my teeth.
Highly recommend Dr Nadine Muller at the Dentistry! She is wonderful and great with kids. Just had a second visit with my son and she makes it such a breeze for him while he is in the chair.
I went to Dr. Megan Sparks. She is the most incredible dentist. I have never had someone have so much compassion and care in my dentist experiences. I am genuinely petrified of going to the dentist and since going to her, my nerves have almost disappeared gets better each time I go as each time it is a more and more positive experience. I feel safe and listened to. She even found out that I had a rare condition where I have two nerves which is the reason I never go completely numb . Other dentists told me it was in my head and it wasn't possible that I would feel it- She didn't. She believed me and investigated further- found out it wasn't my imagination. So bear in mind I can't go completely numb, yet because of her I have had the least painful and most relaxing never thought I would say that dentist visits- all thanks to her. 1000 000/10 would recommend. Wish I could give more stars- can't explain the difference it has made for me. THANK YOU Dr. Sparks
After going to Dr Bosch and previously Dr Kok for decades, I cannot BELIEVE how HORRIBLE this Medicross has become, I will not recommend this place to anyone UNLESS you have no other choice or emergency situation. You can never get through telephonically, their doctors mos diagnosed my children twice infact no diagnosis only for their paediatrician to diagnose them and treat them with antibiotics after their symptoms worsened I was diagnosed and given medication only for the medication they prescribed to worsen my issue…after spending THOUSANDS seeing different doctors only to end up at a cardiologist and to be told the medication caused my problems stopped the meds and back to good health…now today my husband and I are accused of short paying cash after I WITNESSED my husband hand over 3x R200 notes…the way they speak down to you and belittle you is appalling, I totally lost my cool which I am not okay with or proud of it’s not in my nature but I think after SO MANY bad experiences I had HAD IT. It’s very sad because my entire family and friends will also move elsewhere as they too haven’t had good experiences within the past 5 years something has happened or changed I don’t know what it is but you’re losing a lot of good paying customers…I still cannot believe what happened today.
