I received excellent service from a young gentleman named Vinchesco working at BidAir in Joburg on Friday 30 October at 8pm. He assisted me very quickly. All the equipment I collected was in good condition. I was assisted with getting the equipment to my car. I am very grateful. Sadly, the staff who deal with parking and some of the security staff made the overall experience highly stressful. I realise these individuals do not work for BidAir Cargo but they do impact the customer experience of using the services so I am documenting what happened here in the hope that these things can stop happening. Hopefully someone working at BidAir Cargo has some influence and can escalate this. The machine to pay for parking was out of order when I attempted to pay. I was instructed by security staff who were standing by the machine to proceed to the exit with my parking ticket but when I reached the exit and pressed the help button, I was spoken to in a highly disrespectful manner and it took some time and discussion before the boom gate was opened. I recorded part of the discussion which helped to speed things up, as the person I was speaking to started to rethink her tone and her delay tactics when I informed her that I was recording the interaction and would send it to her supervisor. The people who were trying to exit before me also had problems and spent over ten minutes at the boom gate, speaking to the person who did not want to allow them to leave. I got out of my car to try to understand what was happening but observed physical distancing. When the gate was finally opened, the driver said to me, "Good Luck" I spent a long time picking up the packages, with most delays caused by extremely rude staff dealing with parking and some security staff, who seem to have no idea what customer service is. In the one image I captured, you see a female security staff member. She spoke to me in a very rude manner because I could not hear her or read her lips when she was asking to see my ID document. Perhaps the staff here could put a sign up saying, "Please produce your ID document on arrival" or something similar. Because of the thick glass, I couldn't understand and it was my first time visiting the place. Eventually she loudly said, READ MY LIPS, and then managed to see her slowly mouthing, ID and showed her my ID. Hopefully my experience can make things easier for other clients visiting the place. I sincerely hope that BidAir can discuss these issues with the relevant people. I hope that other BidAir clients can be saved from experiencing the type of stress that I endured. I strongly advise people to use their phones to capture audio of their experiences with security/parking staff with the hope that recordings might be used for purposes of reflection and this will lead to improvement. Thanks in advance to the staff at BidAir Cargo for doing what you can to improve the experience of visiting BidAir Cargo in Kempton Park and thanks again to your staff member who was really great.
Excellent customer service from beginning to end of the process. Fast and efficient quote, clear info about the procedure and handling of shipment. The entire service was smooth and straight forward and on time. A supper efficient team.

A parcel was sent using Bidvest Cargo from Gqeberha Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg Or Tambo airport cargo collection point. I confirmed with the Call Centre that my parcel was ready for collection. Drove with my kids to collect it and then it became a terrible experience. The security / gate control person asked for several things. 1. He wanted an email to say something. He did not state what the email was for or from. I advised him I phoned Bidair cargo and the item was received and ready for collection.. I had the waybill and reference number. 2. He asked me for a number. I asked him for which number did he want. I have the Company telephone number and a reference number. 3. He proceeded to advise me I could not take kids into the area. I should park the car and walk to collection point and carry the 10Kg parcel as he said  "it's not heavy". I advised him that the kids are not safe to be left in a carpark alone and that they are girls and as parent I was not going to leave a 10-year-old and a 6 year old unattended. He said I must follow their process or I cant go in. I asked to speak to his manager. None of the gate control personnel did anything, they all stood there and stared at me. I phoned Bidair cargo with my concerns and they said all they can do is take down my details and that the process is what it is to collect parcels.The gate control person advised me I will not be allowed entry and will just sit there. While I was on the phone, the security team started to clamp on my tyres. I drove away from these untrained, unprofessional people who's job appears to follow rules and not use their brains. All I can say is - I dont recommend using BidAir to anyone. They are expensive. They have people or use personnel who's job is delay collection of your parcel and put your children at risk. They hired people to just be difficult. Worst experience collecting items - SAA is simpler and has been cheaper. The most frustrating thing in all this is the expectation from the personnel that I would leave 2 young girls in a car unattended whilst I collect my parcel. Never in South Africa.
