Bijou is a solo artist and is represented in Private Collections in Belgium, France, Germany, england, Middle East, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Born in Neuilly, a beautiful suburb of Paris, in her early years, she was educated in Italy.Thereafter her studies continued in Paris where she was also a student in ballet with Yvonne Goube's academy.
Graduated from Perimony drama art school; for many years she was a model with the top designers in Paris.Her closed friends during this period were show business personalities, singers, actors and famous artists, which of one Marcestel, is like her brother since ever.
She lived in Middle east, far East, and South America, till she arrived in South Africa where she pursued her early passion for welding sculptures; many exhibitions followed which also included her work in ceramics.
She graduated and joined for few years the Ernst de Jong academy of fine art with whom she held frequent exhibitions at the academy gallery of the State Theater where she had a sell out of her paintings.
Since then, as a solo artist, she did many exhibitions and is represented in private collections in France, Belgium,Germany, England, Australia, Middle East, Zimbabwe and South Africa.Also in big companies, and high rank people of the SA government.
Her nomadic life has left it's mark on her work and she has developed an unmistakable and sophisticated quality greatly sought after by art connoisseurs.
She is married and with her french husband, they have nine children, one by Bijou, four by her husband and four black boys from the street of Pretoria. Because of her work, her father and husband she lived in many different countries which had a great influence on her.
She places no limit on life, irrespective of race, standard of living or culture. She loves differences. Her favorite sports include mountain climbing, squash, water and snow skiing, motorbike.
She loves animals, especially horses and dogs. Her other fields of interest apart from painting include reading, theater, movies, music, ballet and fashion.
She speaks French, English, and Italian; understands Afrikaans and a little Arabic.
