Blouberg Beach

Beautiful beach. Excellent for family picnics. Easily accessible to surrounding suburbs. Lovely for beachwalks for young and old. Great kite-surfing.

Very beautiful beach! The sunset here is something else!

One of my favourite beaches in Cape Town. Lifeguards are situated at this popular surfing beach. I have often seen young children taking surfacing lessons at this beach. It's the perfect spot to get a great photo opportunity of Table Mountain. There are also toilets and showers at the beach and lots of restaurant look into the beach. It's always busy and so feels safe.

Beautiful beachfront especially during covid times. To be able to do beach, ocean activities is a blessing. A popular spot for kite surfers, surfers , paddle boarders, beaching in general. With views of Table Mountain and Robben Island from the beach itself. Always good to chill out on the beach just as a breather from populated human norms. : photos taken yesterday at the beach.

One of my favorites, especially to watch the sunset

Beautiful laid back beach. This beach can often get overcrowded with kite surfers on windy days so if you prefer a more relaxed family beach try other areas. It's also fairly safe for a night visit. Unlike beaches in Durban I'm assuming all beaches in cape down do not have wash down facilities, so I suggest bringing your own tap water to wash down beach sand after a visit to the beach. This area can also get super windy so long sleeve attire will help on a windy day to prevent the sting of sand if you are going for a stroll. This beach also has a strong dog presence again different to some Durban beaches were dogs are not allowed. So if you will be bringing your furry friend it helps to have them on a leash and to have a waste packet so not as to upset the natural fawna and flora of the environment.

Confer to tag: Bloubergstrand Beach Bloubergstrand Kapstadt. Unfortunately I was there on a light misty day. I hardly could see the Table Mountain to take a famous Table Mountain pic, actually should be Bloubergstrand the best place. But it`s only a small beach close to the main road and the busy city. To take a Table Mountain pic on a clear sunny day, it would be okay, but I prefer the Big Bay beach northwards, which is more natural and less of tourists . So finally I had to edit my pics. In October 2021, a year ago, a second try, and on that day together with my son the weather wasn`t so misty like last year. we enjoyed our visit

Always a joy to come to this beach. Besides the awesome view of Table Mountain in the background, and the really lengthy stretch of beach... what's not to love. My favorite part is watching the kite-surfers as they glide across the waves.. and the beach sunsets of course. Water is cold as ice though so swimming is only for the brave.
