Was a pleasant stay overall but a few things can be improved. We paid for two cottages and ended up using one for our big family. Reason was that cottage 2 was filthy, had huge spiders and is very old-school so part of the family refused to stay there. The latter one can handle but not the dirty cutlery, shower, beds, etc. For the price one pays, you would expect to at least have dstv and wifi available. Yes, it is a place to unwind but these two have become part of unwinding. The walk to the waterfall was ok but a bit disappointing that the water was not flowing very strongly at the waterfall. Not the owner's fault though so I am not taking that into account with my rating. Nonetheless, good for some exercise and to kill some time. We didn't see any activities for the kids on the farm or were not informed of where/when they can get to interact with the animals as advertised on website. Invest some money and time in this place and its management and it could become a real gem.

Bo Kouga was the perfect getaway from hustle and bustle of town life and demands of the internet! Our cottage was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We loved the farm atmosphere; sitting on the stoep hearing the bleating of the sheep and their lambs. The walk up to the waterfall took us higher to wonderful views of the valley below. The waterfall was a magical surprise. Highly recommended if you are in need of charging your batteries without contact with the outside world.

Lovely stay on this farm. Stayed in Cottage 4 - Zebra. Impressed with the quality linen, cutlery and crockery. Stoep overlooking the mountains. Thoughtful hosts leaving milk in the fridge and enough wood, firelighters and matches. The place was super clean! Dis not have time to explore the area. Will be back to go to the dam and take a walk to the waterfall. Only battled with the low pressure gas hot water supply.

Wonderful, peaceful and very comfortable piece of heaven to escape to. The fences are sturdy, so the dogs could safely explore while we relaxed. LOVED it and will definitely go back again!

Very nice accomodation, beautiful county side, super drive getting there. Unfortunately only had one night there but would love to go back .
