Boardwalk Casino, Summerstrand

Stayed for a night and was greeted promptly at the front desk. We were assisted with our bags and given a briefing about the hotel. There is a mall and Casino right outside of the hotel lobby. You are treated with views of the ocean and boardwalk. It is a short distance from the airport making it an ideal place for travelers! The room was spacious with a lovely bath. My only recommendation is that they clean the windows, I do understand the salt water from the ocean may make it difficult. Nonetheless, it was a lovely stay.

Beautiful hotel with tons of amenities. Conveniently located. Beautiful view of the beach and promenade... you can just stroll down to the beach. Go for a swim or a walk and see the dolphins. And then to the mall or the mall for some retail therapy and lunch...Rooms: 5/5

Totally fancy. Lovely terrace - go enjoy the ocean view with a drink from the bar instead of the eateries that are sometimes crowded. If you're dressed nicely and behave yourself, nobody cares if you spend half a day pretending to be the sultan of your personal palace.

Wow, what a makeover.its been long since I have been there. Looks great , various shops , eateries giving you grear choices. Nice place to take family for a chill, parking, shopping, casino, hotel and more. Loved what they did with the water fountain.... go on, .take pictures beautiful anytime of the day....

Not 5 star yet. Has some gremlins but awesome decor, awesome settings and a stunning mall . You walk for miles to your rooms. Breakfast was nice, stay away from fish, has scales. Otherwise tops.Rooms: 3/5

Difficult to say what was good about the food and service, ordered starters and main course, main course arrived and was finished by the time the starter arrived. Only half of the food for the main course was on the plate, when asked why we were told the kitchen ran out of stock so only half the meal was supplied, yet we had to pay for the full course. Never have we had such bad service and expected to still pay for it. Will never go back even for a free meal.

We have just been to a wedding at the conference centre. A couple from overseas. The service was appalling miserable unhelpful staff. Bad Hot food served on cold plates. Food cold anyway. Dance floor not swept and dirty marks. Toilets clean but 1 ply toilet paper Dirty ashtrays on balcony. Disgusted and embarrassed for our overseas visitors. Shame on you Boardwalk. Train your staff in Zimbabwe. Or at least train them.

Staff at the casino are horrible. Untrained, unfriendly and utterly awful. In our visit not one staff member did their job properly and all of them had such an awful attitude we left feeling depressed on what we thought would be a nice evening. Train staff in customer service or at least hire some people who are capable of smiling

I have not even stayed as yet and I am absolutely disappointed by the service I have received the past 2 weeks. Trying to make a booking directly with the hotel and still no one has send me the adjusted pro forma invoice. Every time I phone I need to give all my details and gets promised all will be done and emailed . Still waiting as I once again phoned this morning.

I have been battling to get a refund from Sun International Boardwalk Hotel in PE for 5 weeks now. I have done an online reservation cancellation and requested a refund, then i was told to fill out a form and send proof of bank details, which i did. Then i was told that they tried and could not complete the payment. I was told to send another refund form and another proof of account, which i did. Once again to be told that they will try. Surprise surprise, no luck again. Then i was told to send another refund form and another proof of account, which i did for the 3rd time. I have sent numerous emails and all i get told it that it has been signed off and it should get done soon. This is now 5 weeks later and i still do not have my refund??? This is absolutely pathetic service from what is supposed to be our top hotel group in SA. They are quick to debit your account and the money goes off immediately to secure your booking, but when by law they need to refund you, they have 10 000 reasons to why it has not been refunded yet. I suggest that if you book in areas where this hotel group is, rather consider the privately owned smaller bed and breakfasts, where you will get proper service and not just be another number. Shame on you Boardwalk and Sun International. ps. I i am still waiting for my refund!!
