The service we got from the receptionist was very poor, she just did not care. She wanted to close the kitchen before we arrived, she was impatient with us, she left without offering us blankets in a cold night, she never answered her work phone or atleast get back to us the following day. She was just horrible. However Michell on the resturant desk was amazing. She made sure our stay is conducive. Food & drinks: The food were amazing.
We received a great service, the food was Devine, prices of food are reasonable. The place is beautiful.Rooms: 5/5
Wonderful place to relax and chill out with family and friends. Great place for jet ski and fishing. Kids really enjoyed the playground. Public bathrooms very clean. Well maintained and worth the visit. Nature lovers paradise Location: 4/5
Really really NOT impressed with BROADWATER RIVER ESTATE. This is the 2nd time we camped there and both times been quite dissapointed. Pool is always dirty kids cannot cool off, the slide has been inoperable for months/years as trees can be seen growing over it. Last time there was a huge 'likkewaan' underneath the trampoline along with alot of trash, debris amd bottles. The camping sites each have their own private bathroom but it is always filled with massive . Hubby had to make a round of Doom everytime before we want to use it but the reeds on the wall are great hiding/breeding places for them.Don't even dare to touch it, disturb it or you'll run..
Only went to the restaurant. The place is absolutely beautiful and stunning, but the food was cold and tasted as if it was microwaved. They also don't have free Wi-Fi. You have to pay extra for Wi-Fi.Service: 4/5
Just a few hints 7-bed Family Room 1. WIFI and overall DSTV signal problematic in room; 2. Toilet was leaking leaving a pungent urine smell; 3. Wooden bench on balcony is a safety hazard and should be replaced; 4. Chimney at braai-area should be extended to increase wind-draft; 5. Overgrown trees and overhanging branches should be trimmed, as specially at braai areas; 6. Lighting at braai-area should be increased; 7. Front room - leaking roof left bedding stained; 8. Room was not prepared for our arrival, and this was evident from toilet leak and stained bedding; 9. Quarterly Pest Control is advised for entire facility; Rooms: Overall maintenance requires attention Safety: Fire hazards were evident, and should be attended to; Wooden decks and -benches should be adequately maintained; Pest Control requires attention. Food & drinks: Food and drink was delicious and sufficient. Noteworthy details: Fire safety should be managed, as specially with this facility being located in a bushy area. Overhanging branches from trees should be cut for better safety.
The atmosphere was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was nice. Unfortunately you have to pay for Wi-Fi.
We camped over at Broadwaters on the 30th of December at site #6. There was a terrible sewerage smell the whole time we camped there. And the toilet at site #5 was running the whole time. I was very disappointed and felt pretty sick by the next morning with smelling that terrible smell the whole night through. The spot was so beautiful and that just ruined it for me. Also something else I wanted to mention as you are very water conscious. Gas geysers do not actually save water, to the contrary you spend so much time and water just to get it to a usable temperature. I would def have a look into this..

The reception was friendly on our late arrival and allowed us to warm up our food in the restaurant kitchen as the restaurant was already closed. The water in the shower took a while to subside could have been because of the flood a few days earlier. Breakfast was nice and the views from our room and the restaurant is stunning. The walls of the rooms are very thin though. We were able to hear the guy next door snoring.
