We had an amazing time at Gkhui Gkhui. Luxury accommodation, fine dining restaurant quality meals, Karoo hospitality! Fishing on the Orange River doesn’t get any better! A wonderful place with amazing staff and management! Very highly recommended!Rooms: 5/5

Ghkui Ghkui is an amazing place, with tastefully furnishined, private rooms and tranquil scenery looking out on the orange river. Heidi is the most graceful and caring host which made our stay here absolutely wonderful. The three course meals are lovingly prepared by Davis a very talented chef which are the most generous portions I have probably ever seen. I can highly recommend this place to anyone without reservation! Will definitely be returning for a third time.

The lodge is very comfy and furnished with exquisite taste. Large verandah and a glorious vista of the mighty Orange. Heidi, Anna and Davis together with their friendly support staff ensured we were treated like VIP’s I rate the food 6stars Humungous portions and steaming bread or roosterkoek on the fire. I also enjoyed my walks on the dusty roads and was lucky enough to see a herd of majestic Roan. The boys caught some fish even tjough the season was not officially open. Can’t wait to return

What a gem! Absolutely wonderful couple of days spent here. Not only is the location great, but the accommodation, food, service and activities were of the highest standard. The ideal place for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life or for the keen fly fisherman/woman who wants a new challenge in terms of catching the infamous Orange River yellow fish. One can paddle down the great Orange River in a canoe or enjoy a more stable trip down the river in a uniquely designed fishing pontoon and enjoy the exquisite surroundings, birdlife and wildlife of the area. The guide, Rob, we had was great and the lodge staff all made us feel like "family". A definite recommendation from me.
