A relatively flat parkrun and very pleasant parkrun. It is mostly run on the gravel and grass. It is a very pet friendly place and close to the shopping centres. The course is very well marked and very well organised. If you want to do an easy going 5km, this is the parkrun to be. Parking wise, you can either park in the shopping centres or outside by the park where there are car guards present.
+500 Park runners make for a great Saturday morning out with the community. Can be a little congested, so of you are worried about your time get out of the blocks quickly. Else chillax with your dog and just enjoy the spruit
Really well organized, nice route which was easy to follow, and enough volunteers there to streamline the ending so well done to all who make it happen.
People are always friendly, the run is nice and the river, when it doesn't smell, is really pretty
Welcome to parkrun no any harmful its self place and well secured
A great parkrun although always a lot of people.
My weekly parkrun as it's mostly flat and I'm trying to limit my injuries at my age now :
Enjoyed the course, especially the beautifully maintained river section with its expansive garden beds. However not enough marshalls .Front runner took a wrong turn. Consider marking the course with arrows painted on rocks etc. One very muddy section on the course.
A slightly hidden portion of the Braamfontein Spruit is the setting for this Parkrun. Kudos to the residents of Bryanston for maintaining the grounds and the stream, although in some areas litter was still visible. A lot of new planting has taken place next to the trail itself, to provide shade and photographic opportunities. If you're new to the Parkrun scene this is a great way to start as it's pretty level and straightforward.
I love going to Bryanston Parkrun, it's one of the "easier" Parkruns. It's very scenic.
