C&D THOMPSON AUCTIONEERS head office is in Bothaville. Because of the growing demands of our clients’ needs and to provide each client with the best service under one roof we also have a finance division that includes home loans, vehicle loans, personal loans and bridging finance. C&D THOMPSON is also a Property Broker that assists clients in selling their property to willing buyers if they do not prefer an auction. Our services extend beyond the traditional realm of only buying and selling of assets, into pre and post-sales support and consultation.
All our premises consist of a storage facility with security under our direct control where we store and secure movable assets such as motor vehicles, capital equipment, farming equipment and small lots such as furniture. We use the best technology in managing, controlling and disposals of these assets. We use our own fleet of vehicles for the recovery and collections of movable assets if necessary.
PROPERTIES
Our Property division specializes in properties such as Agricultural, Commercial, Residential, Sectional Title, Share Block Properties, Recreational and Leisure properties as well as Deceased, Insolvent and Sequestrated Estates. We prefer to do our property auctions on site, this experience enable us to achieve outstanding results for our clients.
We and our experience team regard each mandate from a client or principal on a property as a priority and include our services, property deed searches, valuations, comparable market analysis, property management and the necessary city council enquiries.
Our Property team is all registered with the EAAB and is in possession of a fidelity fund certificates. The minimum requirement for all of our agents is the NQF4.

DATABASE
Over the past years our client base has grown exponentially to include key players in each of our sectors. We use a SMS database for notifications of all upcoming auctions and out of hand sales. An e-mail system is also in place for those clients who prefer notification by e-mail. We also use Property 24, Facebook and Twitter. These databases are regularly updated and categorized.
All our database and notification systems comply with the new Consumer Protection Act.
EMPOWERMENT
In accordance with the codes of good practice issued in terms of Section 9(1) of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, 2003 we as a company received an overall B-BBEE Status Level 4 with a score between 65 and 75. As a company we strive to invest in our employees.
