Cafe Bruegel,Edenvale

Lovely little street side Cafe in the heart of Edenvale. Edenvale has so much to offer and this restaurant is one of them! The outside area is literally situated on the curb but it doesn't feel like that. You're safely enclosed but can still enjoy your meal and company in peace. Food was fresh and tasty. Our waitress was helpful but would suggest helping her get a bit more on the friendly side. We used the Entertainer app, she was a bit aggressive about not taking away any food...all good though but not everyone will take kindly to the way in which this rule is applied or rather explained. Will be back!

My wife and I only came here once and we tried their pastas. The pastas are very well made and tasted quite fresh. We would definitely come back next time and try their pizzas.

Went for brunch. Had a delicious meal of perfectly poached eggs on toast with hollandaise sauce and caramelised onions. Followed by the lightest fluffiest waffles - scrumptious! The whole experience was great.

Amazing little restaurant. Food is incredible. Decor is stunning. Food prices are reasonable. Love this place.

This review is from my own experience and this is why we have these reviews... To be honest and express what you experienced. 1 - for the atmosphere.. the decor and finishes... even though dead no back ground music playing ... 2nd - For a very interesting menu.. that does cater for all... BUT said that for the area and a pavement restaurant waiting for a car to drive through at any given time, you are extremely over priced... Not sure why? For you not based in Sandton... so you don't have those rentals to pay.... So a tad bit confused why so expensive? You based in Edenvale.. Who are you catering for.. and yet you call yourself "street food" There are soo many better restaurants that actually offer street food Tappas at fraction of your price bases in Sandton .. Linden and Meville ... Very disappointing to say the least, but I wish you well..... Each to their own! Dear Owner thank you for your response, I am fully aware how food costs work and costing of same, I am a Cost accountant and have myself been working in F&B industry for MANY years even having own restaurants... But said that, If you go to Paul in Sandton among many other restaurants you don't even pay your excessive prices... Area based again, people don't always want generous amount of food on plate either ... now you missing the point! Wine prices... all patrons know cost of wine ciders and hard liquor.. yours is not any better ... That was the point here!

Best pizza I have tasted for a long time. Prices might look a bit high but the ingredients are all imported from Italy. Well worth paying a bit more, would highly recommend.Food: 5/5

Absolutely love this place! Super friendly and down to earth staff. Delicious food and fast service, with a great atmosphere. The waffles are my favorite!

Had two really good pizza's here. I can recommend the Mexicana as well as the Quattro Stagioni. Pizza's are clearly made with care and they use the finest ingredients. Will definitely be back to try some more of their offerings. The atmosphere is most welcoming and the service is great.

Amazingly great experience. Sweet rustic jhb street side cafe not typical but unique. Owner run and managed. Lovely people quality family oreintated service. Great advice on the menu items. Arancini balls look amaxe balls. Ordered the caprese pizza. Yum yum yum. Good value for money. Food and presentation is of a high quality. Definitely worth having a quick bite here.
