Cafe Oasis - PMB

Alright for a quick snack. Friendly staff. Fair selection of cakes. Nice twist on traditional cafe dishes such as sandwiches.

I normally come here for a quick cup of coffee and a slice of cake, between shopping. The coffee and cake is good. I decided to have breakfast here yesterday and ordered the vegetarian open sandwich and my husband had the coronation chicken open sandwich. He didn't really enjoy his. Found it to be a little too sweet and the sliced apple on top made it worse. I enjoyed my vegetarian open sandwich, but found that both the open sandwiches where way overpriced for a single slice of bread with a bit of lettuce and topping. To me R64 for a single slice of bread, lettuce and little bit of topping is unreasonable. Open sandwiches are normally two slices of bread, well stacked with salad and toppings. Service is mediocre.

I visited this Cafe today for a quick cup of coffee before an appointment and I was extremely disappointed with the service. I was with a friend when I walked in, there was no one there to greet us, the manager was standing at the till and completely ignored us. We found a table and sat down and waited 15min to be served or even greeted. The staff were extremely rude in the fact that not one of then came to serve us. It wasn't even that busy. After we waited for 15min we decided to leave, the manager and the staff watched us leave without even an apology. I won't go back here, the service was utterly unacceptable.

Great coffee. Situated in the middle of the isle, so not private. Friendly service.
