Flower Arranging Classes
Flower Arranging Classes with Gerda
The Cape School of Floristry was founded in 2001 by Gerda Tuffin. Having grown up on the family flower farm, she attended the Constantia School of Floristry with Joan Pare during 1983. In 1988 she graduated from Stellenbosch University with a B.Sc. Agric. degree in Horticulture. Since 1992 she and her husband, Bernard, have owned Flowercraft Florists in Cape Town. In November 2000 Gerda completed the International Course in Dutch and European Floral Design at the Boerma Institute, Aalsmeer, Holland. She has won many competitions in flower arranging over the years. Gerda shares her knowledge and skills in a relaxed, nurturing and encouraging manner. The various courses offered at the school cater for the absolute beginner, the more advanced flower arranger and for those seeking to do refresher courses.
The mission of the Cape School of floristry is to offer training courses, demonstrations and motivation to those who wish to learn the skills of flower arranging and gift hamper making for business or hobby.
