Great food amazing people good service..sure I recommend it
I went for lunch on 1 January - table for 4. My Savannah was warm and replaced with another warm Savannah. No utensils for Sushi. Fish was tasteless and the service ...... unable to communicate or even make eye contact. All the Staff are slow and the manager is on his phone, the whole time. He saw us getting up to get utensils but just ignored it. Upon leaving we told the front lady and she just replied. Sorry but please try us again. Sorry guys, you will be closing doors sooner than you think. Never will I or my friends or their friends come again.
Typically good sushi as one expects from this chain. Pretty location. They do not have a sushi conveyor belt, so turn-around times a bit slower than in other CTFMs. They are definitely over staffed... while our server was attentive, many waitresses were disinterested in customers, chatted to each other and on their phones. We will go again.
Was looking forward to a nice plate of good quality seafood but was left very disappointed. The calamari was soggy and just on the verge of being cooked, the prawns tasted metallic, the rice was old and the chips were old and some were raw! No compensation offered by manager. Need I say more? Oh yes, my partner also got a mild case of food poisoning after having the sushi. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. Ocean basket down the road can probably do you a better plate of food at a better price too...
Lovely food, good and quick service.
I had the Monday night Fish n Chips special for R50. I upsides from a 200gm portion to a 280gm portion for an extra R20. Had the fish grilled and chose a vegetable side. Must say that the meal was superb to say the least. Will definitely be going back.
Very disappointing. Ordered a R310 platter, the whole platter was cold. Asked for a slice of bread to have with my mussels but I was told I wasn't allowed a slice, I had to order a whole french loaf. Had to ask for lemon to put over the fish, was given 3 of the tiniest slices known to mankind. Found a SPIDER crawling on the prawns, the manager didn't even bother to come resolve the issue. When a manager did arrive to ask us how the meal was, we told her, she said she was just the trainee manager and she was on lunch at 8 in the evening at the time of the complaint. According to the waitress she was not on lunch and aware of the issue, apparently she was also not training and was in fact the floor manager. Ruined dinner, will never go back.
Disappointing to say the least. Stay away from the smoked salmon and avo salad. Not even offcuts but inedible grey skin. Even a piece of fin to add crunch! 4 pieces of hard avo to round things off. Manager helpful but really need to pull things together. Used to be such a good iconic restaurant. Great position.
