This year I went to Carnival City twice. I must say that environment at the restuarants, particularly the Spur was conducive and accommodating to the type of informal - yet critical - business engagement I needed to have at very short notice. The staff were excellent. The management understood my needs and delivered per excellence! I shall return
Overall, Carnival City has changed dramatically in the past couple of years. Some for the better, others for the worse. There is new rides at the back 1 adult ride, outside skate ring, amongst a couple of different minor changes. Overall, it was a Funish experience. Good for family time generally speaking, but very crowded generally with big events.
Really nice place and design but over crowded with people. You can barely walk outside the casino, there's just too much going on. But I really loved the design of the place and the casino inside wasn't too bad. I just lost a lot of money so you're welcome! They have the usual set up of restaurants, movies and the casino.
This is a fantastic place to go to with both family and friends, the biggest flaw for me is that the entrance is no longer charged per car but by the number of occupants in the car ... ridiculous according to me because it's not like you are not going to splash some cash in the casino for every service you render! Food & drinks: There are plenty of good restaurants.
Wonderful place for individuals and families gathering for a variety of activities of enjoyment. Wonderful management team, workforce as well as security personnel. The place is always running despite the challenges posed by persistent load shedding. The addition of an Ice Ring on top of a variety of restaurants, kids indoor and outdoor play center, the Cinema as well as live musical events makes the place an ideal place to choose whilst in the East Rand. Carnival City Casino is a true definition of Ekhurhuleni A place of calmness and peace.
A very nice place to visit @ night , I believe it comes alive. For game night it was very nice & the food were so delicious from a Portuguese restaurant.Rooms: 5/5
Great breakaway venue whether for a day, or few. Staying at the road lodge or sun hotel is a great option for young and older members of family to fully enjoy facilities. If just doing a day/evening trip with family, steer clear of coming on public holidays and payday weekends, you'll just end up with highly irritable kids and parents, lol Walkability: You can definitely drive into main centre and just spent rest of time comfortable walking around. Food & drinks: Either than Hotel options, good range of restaurants within venue for most tastes.
Was a nice time out at carnival city. Went go kart racing, bowling and eating some pizza at panarotise.... Its nice place to go out with family, friends and even your kids bring the grand too Only thing is if you going bowling you gotta bowling with your shoes off unless you rent bowling shoes
We really love Carnival City but the Parking is very expensive. R10 per person kids included. To take family for a movie it cost met R70 per vechicle to go in. This is a rediculious and the last time I will come here.
I just got back home from Carnival city and I am disappointed to say the least.I had to pay entrance fee twice. The first fee I paid was at the entrance Boom gate and then again just after entering the gates at Carnival City. My Brother dropped us off at Carnival City.We paid R40 entance fee for four people at the boom gate but the lady at the boom gate did not tell us that we need to keep the receipt to show the security lady at the entrance to prove that we paid so my brother left with the receipt since he did not plan to spend the day with us at Carnival. He just dropped us off.we could not get a hold of my brother after he left so the security told us to pay an extra R30 to enter Carnival City after we had already paid an entrance fee. Carnival city should do better. That extra R30 entrance fee was not part of the plan and it was an inconvenience and an unpleasant experience.
