Beginnings
The Chas Everitt International property group was the dream child of FoundersCharles(Chas) and Tilla Everitt who started the company in 1980. Charles and Tilla are still active in the group and the real estate business today.

Awards Chas Everitt Milestones
Opening their first office in Randburg, Gauteng in 1980, Charles and Tilla founded what is now the Chas Everitt International Property Group, a true family business where ethics and values are part of the company's DNA. In their own words: "Our vision has always been to never stop caring about people and to never compromise our principles".
In 1998, when Charles Everitt became Chairman, Berry Everitt was appointed Managing Director of the Chas Everitt International Property Group.
In 2001, Berry Everitt was awarded the Property Professional Club's 'Young Lion' Award and followed this with being awarded an industry 'Mover and Shaker' award in 2003.
During 2002, Chas Everitt relinquished their membership in an American Real Estate Group after having been members for a decade (during which for 8 out of those 10 years, Chas Everitt won every major international real estate award available to their Southern African operations)
In 2003 the group entered the Franchising arena and opened operations in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Gauteng,Mpumalangaand KwaZulu Natal.
Real estate runs deep in the Everitt family. Another of Chas and Tilla's sons, Paul Everitt is one of Chas Everitt's Top Achievers and a highly respected practitioner in the real estate industry having received multiple nominations for the “Property Professional of the Year” Award.
In 2004, the only independent real estate awards programme, the Property Professional Club, awarded Charles Everitt the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award. In the same year Berry Everitt and Franchising CEO Barry Davies were also nominated as 2 of South Africa’s Leading Managers in the publication “South Africa’s Leading Managers”.
In 2007 Chas Everitt were recognized as one of the Top 5National Real Estate Agencies in South Africa in an independent survey by a leading business publication – after only 4 years of franchising.
2008 saw the launch of CEI Overseas Properties - aimed at marketing international property investments to South Africans.
During 2009 Chas Everitt launched an industry first - the Chas Everitt Notebook©License model designed for niche markets and subsequently increasing the national brandfootprint.
During 2010 the group celebrated its 30th Anniversary and launched ChasCares, a broad range of community projects building on the successful Home Makeovers projects held in 2008 and 2009
