Love this patisserie the pastries and cakes are delicious the staff is friendly and the coffee is not bad!! I'm slightly addicted to the cakes ! Mozart is my favorite , the Belgicca was also a winner . Their chocolate offerings are rich and indulgent
I couldn't find the carrot cake/Mozart 2 pack variety online but when I went to this store, it was there in the fridge so that was great! The location is good, regardless of where you might be in the mall, you won't struggle to find it. The service is good too and yes, the cake offerings are delicious. I've found a new favourite, the walnut truffle omw! I highly recommend it!
I frequently visit Chateau Gateaux after my shifts at Menlyn to grab a cup of coffee. What attracted me to the place is the rewards programme they have: so you have to download the Chateau Gateaux app from the Google Play Android App Store and then for every hot drink you buy you earn one point. When you have reached 10 points then you receive a free hot drink and slice of cake of your choice at your next visit. I had the Caramel Velvet and White Chocolate hot beverage. They were delicious! High quality! I want to go back and earn more points. I hope you do so too! They have excellent services by the way! Fast forward to 2022, what attracts to CG is still the rewards programme where you can qualify for a free hot beverage or cake slice. I had the Mozart this time withe the Chococcino. Update on 21 June 2022 The interior look and feel of the business has changed. They gave it a face lift. Now and then you might still sit at a table that wobbles, which is a defect because you might spill your coffee, which happened to me unfortunately. It looks beautiful inside and outside. But the prices of their basic Americano has gone up unfortunately. It still looks and tastes delicious and I am attracted by the rewards programme. I haven't really paid much attention to the other prices of other products.

Select from a wide variety of indulgent cakes - chocolate, cheesecake, apple pie, carrot cake, to name only a few or select a savoury option such as spinach pie for a delicious quick lunch. We have been going to Chateau Gateau for years and never been disappointed.
I've had a lot of cakes and I love cakes, but I'm yet to find a place with better cakes than here. My favourite is the Swiss carrot cake, which unfortunately was frozen for some reason today. Ended up having the chocolate nostalgia which is also good, but to me can never top the Swiss carrot cake. Don't ask questions, just go and taste for yourself, the staff are really friendly and give valid recommendations based on your preferences
Excellent cakes and coffees and the staff are extremely friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure clients needs are met. 10/10 I highly recommend the cookies and cream cake!

Just popped into this beautifully design "boutique like" coffee shop as the lattes came highly recommended. The decor is elegant, staff friendly and efficient! We ended up buying a mini tiramisu and salted caramel cheesecake, lured by their mouthwatering presentation. The coffee exceeded expectations, the cakes had perfect texture and rich flavours. I highly recommend Chateau Gateaux!
Once you taste the cake of this shop u can't return eat other cakes bcz this are best cakes In South Africa and love the warmth of stuffThe shop may look like it's products are extremely expensive but slices of cakes are affordable.
Amazing Cakes and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Would definetely recommend this shop.
