Checkers Fourways

Other than the size there is nothing Hyper about this Checkers. There was no trolleys available, none or any kind, and the store wasn't even full, some of the "6060 Mafia" was hogging some of the trolleys but wasn't actively using them. The merchandising was rather poor but not terrible, with full shelves, but lacking and wrong pricing in multiple departments. I bought both Beef and Lamb and both had fuzzy white mold on 1 day after purchase, with another few days on the sell by label to spare, I shouldve taken a photo, my mistake so please be careful with the meat. The store is however fairly clean and staff arent rude, but there is plenty of better Checkers and Checkers Hyper branches nearby and they need a good shake up before I would return or recommend them.

Their tills queues are generally slow. There are items that always give problems at the till but never get fixed. Thier merchandise is generally up to date and fresh.

Such a brilliant store. The place is big and spacious, it's a one stop store for many things, from normal groceries to household and out door items, you will find it all here. The store is also very neat and clean. The staff members are also very hyper and active . It's absolutely one of the best grocery stores you find in the city. It also has a cage inside.

Prices advertised on special were about R11 more expensive than Woolworths. We've found this with several items. Need to know your prices before buying here. It is nice and clean and well laid out.

great store, love that its clos to the lifts so you can park on the roof and catch the lift and be in the store within a few steps. one thing i would like the store to do better though is to manage the people that accost shoppers to ask them to pay for their items. it really places undue pressure on shoppers especially parents becuse they are the ones that get targetted the most when they now have to either say no to these people or be held at ransom. checkers please do better.

Nice place.. But d lift level bottons should be made clearer for easy understanding. Each basement park level should be label well corresponding to d lift buttons..

I was taking my time with the shopping and then noticed the store was closed, I said to one of the assistance I'm sorry I never saw the time, I will leave my trolly aside and come back in the morning to complete my shopping, with a smile she said I can finish quickly, she will wait... Nice to know in our difficult times there is still friendly and patient people..thank you Checkers..

Awesome place to get your groceries. What I didn't like was how one of the cashier's talked to me and my friend, she was a bit rude not only to us but to her superior as well

Love shopping at checkers fourways, but I'm not happy with the way your fried fish is done, too much oil in it. As a person whose a good cook, I would love to advise you of the secret of frying fish. The secret of frying fish without it being greacy is to make your oil hot before putting your fish in the pan then lower the temperature of your stove so the fish doesn't burn. You need not to deep fry it in a lot of oil. A little bit of hot oil and lowering the temperature is the secret of a beautifully non greacy fried fish

Always the freshest products and a big variety. Love shopping there every weekend. And their deli food is amazing!!!
