Description

The SA Cheese Festival is the biggest outdoor culinary event and takes place from 28-30 April 2017. Cheese remains the jewel in the festival crown and the selection ranges from well-known brands to unique artisan cheeses. Combine a great day out in the country with an opportunity to meet and learn from an array of exciting culinary talent.

Great day out with fresh local produce and artisinal products. Lesser knownWine farms keep it interesting. Lovely cooking demos, with chefs and engaging competitions. Good shade and sufficient seating.
This was actually not the Cheese Festival but the Bok Radio Biltong festival. Sadly not one piece of biltong to be sold. The music was good. Food was not that great.

Great festival! I have been going for the past 4 years. Wine stalls are getting fewer, but still very enjoyable. However, if you are looking to make it a family trip, best to avoid the Saturday as most of the attendees are drunk students
Less parking inside this year 2019, apparently allocated to exhibitors, where public used to park. Long walk in. Seems like there were a lot more seating areas - great! However, appears to have been fewer children's activities. Seeing as they're now charging for kids, more provision should be made for their entertainment. Otherwise, enjoyable as always. We attend every year.
I have a great time every year. Good food and wine selection. Lively entertainment and great vibe on the Sunday. Do not go on the Saturday if you want to avoid dealing with drunk students.
2017 was amazing. But I was disappointed that the cheese and wine stalls were separated in 2018. One had to walk in and out of the marquee all the time to alternate between cheese and wine tastings.Saturday way too crowded. I love the festival but would rather go the Sunday next time. Too many drunk youngsters.
This festival is starting to lose its identity as each year passes. It's not what it used to be. To top it all off, the majority of wines that were available there for tasting was the exact same wine you can go buy for cheap when you pop in real quick at a liquor store...some wine tasting stalls there even require you to pay an additional fee for tastings. You will not be seeing us there again next year.
Great say was had,made some new friends.Down side, many stores had no tasters, excuse was people only taste and don't buy
Was rubbish. Not a wine festival at all, more like an organised "get wasted" party. There were people vomiting behind stalls an hour after opening! Drunks staggering around, everyone hogging areas where food samples were laid out etc. All the food stalls were inundated with flies, food terrible and priced ridiculously high. I can go on and on! NEVER AGAIN WASTE OF MONEY!
