The Vision
As young emerging entrepreneurs and artists we sought to provide a unique platform to our fellow artists and thus began the dream of Kiekies Kos n Clay. Our vision is to create an annual festival where we seek to open up the fields of pottery/ceramics, artisan creators, photography, and food to encourage everyone involved to delve into fields previously unexplored and perhaps even inspire unique collaborations.
Why ‘Kiekies Kos n Clay’?
As artists and creators we need the media (kiekies) to present, represent, and consequently cultivate interest in our work. Regardless of the event, festival, or occasion for celebration, there is always a common theme: food (kos)! From enjoying a cup of coffee or bonding over meals, food is something we all have in common – for we all must eat. Clay – our area of expertise! By showcasing a variety of potters/ceramicists, we hope to reveal a glimpse of the wonder and mystery involved in the making of items ranging from the everyday to the extravagant!
