One of my favourite nurseries in Joburg. Fantastic variety of plants and anything else you might need in the gardening department. Prices are sometimes on the higher end - but really good quality plants. There are also lovely coffee shops and restaurants within the garden centre.

A fantastic nursery and garden centre with a huge selection of home improvement shops. The complex has a large children's play area, a wonderful restaurant and large food lovers market. A trip to Lifestyles is an all round great day out.

My mom and I have always loved this place however on the last 2 visits my mom was treated so disgustingly that we will never be coming back. A couple weeks ago we went as my mom had collected a number of points on the loyalty card and she was excited to spend them on buying new plants for her garden. At the time she was told she couldn't spend the points. When she asked why they gave reasons like "she was spending too much money, she could only redeem points on a purchase of less than R200" "she couldn't use the points as it was the end of the month" "their system was down" etc. etc. They then told her that on her next visit she should go to the front to redeem her points first. Today we went back and she was very excited to go back as she loves it there and was sure that the previous bad experience was just a one time thing. She immediately went to the front as previously instructed and redeemed her points on her card. Despite the fact that she spent quite some time figuring out how to do this, no one even bothered to assist her or ask her if she needed assistance. We then spent several hours in the store, getting a variety of plants. When we finally went to the till to pay, she was accused of stealing a loyalty card and was treated as a liar and thief even when she tried to explain what had happened. The staff there did not bother to listen, or even check the cameras or look properly at the receipts and card to check for themselves. They just accused my mom and were so nasty that she left the store in tears. This experience has been so awful that what was once a place that made us excited and happy to go to... has now become tainted with awful feelings of anxiety and unpleasantness.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this place! The plants they have on offer are so beautiful - I'm starting to create a little jungle in my living room! The best part is that it is pet friendly and you are welcome to bring your dogs so long as they are kept on a leash!

Awful experience. On my last visit, Lifestyle was unable to redeem my points at the till because i spent too much and there is a limit. Told me to redeem at the front machine. So i did that this time round to ensure I'd get my points. When i got to the till they accused me of stealing another card. I have proof as its the same unique number but they insisted I owed them R50 for a new one. Basically accused me of being a liar. I loved going to Lifestyle. It was a favourite place to visit...not any more.

Plants! Pets! P-books!!! My three favourite things under one roof! Plus all the other little shops and food places, it's really more of a fun day out than a trip to ye olde nursery! Totally recommend it!

Food was good at Silverbirch. Just be careful as they added 10% service charge to our bill and when we added the usual tip to more than 10% they did not point out that the service charge was already included. Then went to Play Ride. Very expensive at R25 per ticket. Bought tickets and handed them out to my grandchildren. We were than advised that load shedding had just started so many rides could not work. The operator was extremely rude about the matter and when I questioned him as to why he did not let me know before buying the tickets he simply said he did not know the load shedding schedules. This is something in my opinion that he should be aware of. After arguing with me further he offered to refund the ticket money…….knowing that each of my grandchildren had their tickets and were looking forward to their rides. Suggest you check your Silver Birch bill and ask about load shedding before wasting money unnecessarily.

I'm in no way a horticulturist, but I do try and I love a nursery. This place is beautiful, so many things to do and of course so much to buy. I bought this kind of grass for under the tree by my door and these pansies in the background. At the check out I was given a scratch card which won me a creeper

This place is from heaven! It has such a beautiful variety of plants. Its December time so it has all the beautiful Christmas decorations out. This is a gardeners paradise.
