Cinema Nouveau Rosebank

We had to wait almost 25 minutes for the movie to come back on after Loadshedding. The sound was not great in Cinema 7. Also not a fan of the paper popcorn bags. Bad sound + loud popcorn bags = not a great experience..and we were about 6 people in the whole cinema. Imagine if it is full.. Movie was fantastic though.

Like this cinema because the staff are always so friendly and helpful. They just need to get their new coffee shop stocked up with crisps and biltong. Either than that, a lovely experience today - went to watch Air.

First trip to this Nouveau. For some reason I was expecting a more upmarket experience but this was very down market. We watched Air which is one of those movies with a very long playlist of contemporary songs - 1980s in this case. The sound system was not working properly so that all we had was a tinny 'front speaker' sound and many elements of the music as well as sound effects were missing. I asked the staff to fix it and later one staff member came into the theatre but for the whole movie the sound was not fixed. The cinema has a lot less staff than previously so that may have contributed to the lack of ability to fix the problem. Any Nu Metro theatre is far far better than this shabby experience!

I have even been to managers' office a few times and the place was upside down. Wanted to complain about the aircon that was not working for a long period of time. When it was fixed it was making a noise. Sometimes staff keep the lights on during the movie. The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. When asked for a refund when one of movies stop, they refused. I have complained through official channels and nothing was done. The experience through the years got worse. I will try again as I am a art movie lover. A compliment must be given to Ster Kinekor to host art movies. It would be nice if they can do it at more premier cinema complexes. With most shops, bookshop, coffee shop and restaurant closing ect closing very early in Rosebank Mall, it doesn't make for a good movie experience. Updated. Place has been revamped. Service levels stay extremely poor. Too much light in theaters. Need URGENT GOOD MANAGEMENT

We had a very bad experience. The movie stopped about 5 times and at one point the staff stopped trying to fix it. It was not load-shedding, apparently the projector was broken. We didn’t get a refund, we just got a re-admission voucher. But who watches a movie again after already having seen the first 1,5 hours?! Very poor customer care and handling of the situation.

Very good movies currently showing, we were spoilt for choice! The sound was very soft, but after we made a staff member aware, it did improve.

The movie was lovely, staff friendly, venue nice as its always been. Havent been there for an age! But the loos are horrendous. These expensive gadgets/ lids look clean but reek of old urine. Definitely do not use the loo if you have any sense of smell at all. We bith had to wash our hair because it absorbed the smell when we used the bathroom

Haven't been to the movies for ages. It was fun. The new prepayment system for drinks and snacks was a bit confusing. Now we know how it works.

Cine prestige, is always dirty and not worth their price and no manager on site to complain to.

Horrible experience! There's no security so little high school kids snuck into the movie we were watching and spoke and giggled the entire movie. Since there's no security we couldn't speak to anyone about the issue. We won't be back at Rosebank Nouveau again.
