I had a wonderful experience at the taster session and the lessons I attended. Omar is a great coach and is extremely helpful and encouraging! This is a great way to learn to row and spend some time on the river. I recommend trying out the taster session to everyone!
Deserves the ratings, as does Omar. Is he as enthusiastic and encouraging as the reviews state? Yes! Great experience, for any age or physical ability. I worked at Cambridge for 3 years, but never realised this quintessential side of Cambridge life was accessible to me as I was not part of a college. CCRC is an easy way to access the experience of rowing as a crew on the Cam - in the same boats used in London's famous boat race. Either as a one-off experience if visiting the city, or as a resident dipping your toe in and looking to join a crew on a regular basis. Great facilities too - a floor of gym equipment plus a bar...quite the combination.
I have been a member at City of Cambridge Rowing Club for the last 5yrs now and still in absolute awe of it which I happened to find on Google. We now have a brand new building with incredible facilities and a large fleet of boats. Above all else, the club seems to have attracted the most friendliest/nicest bunch who are always keen to help one another. Needless to say, I highly recommend the club!

I was made to feel welcome the members are very nice, great facility, with many past & present International Rowers. Beginners & Experienced rowers are always welcome. Highly Recommended
Absolutely fantastic morning spent with the Cambridge rowing experience, fulfilling a lifelong ambition to try to row. Friendly welcome, easy to follow instruction and a great buzz when all 8 oars strike clean. Would seriously recommend.
I loved Omar's passion - he truly loves what he does and transmits it to the class. I've done a learn to row course a couple of years ago but my work commitment at the time meant that I couldn't properly start rowing. I'm now looking forward to restart again!
Excellent taster day run by Omar. Good level of communication before the day and the taster day itself was the result of well considered planning. The day consisted of just the right balance of learning the fundamental theory and actually rowing out on the river. There was a great atmosphere throughout the day due to Omar's clear teaching paired with humour and positive attitude.
I did their learn to row session today. Omar was excellent, patient and made it very easy to follow his instructions.
