Clivia Lodge and conference centre

The place look ok-ish ,a bit of touch ups here and there would do.On our arrival the staff was ok-ish,complaining about hosting a wedding.I get that you are tired,but why complain to me,as I'm a guest,and I'm expecting to be serviced as well. Our room was not what we asked for,the bed wasn't comfortable, the pillows were too soft and thin,I wish there was more to say,but I was disappointed . Our lunch was awesome though,home-cooked wholesome meal.There was no hot water around 19:00 when we wanted to take a shower,no staff onsite to report issues to,the alarm made noise for an hour before it can be attended to,but hey....what more can we say? Breakfast is served at 8:00 ,@7:45 there was no staff on side to request coffee or juice from.The one's they put in the room was not enough for 2 people. On our way out @ around 7:50 ,we met the staff on their way to work. To be honest,this was not what I expected, even though the host sounded did call to confirm our arrival, the service over the phone was much better than the 1 we received when we got there.

So close to nature, pity got to experience it during covid times. I'm sure it was full of life before and it shows. Only let down was the room had not been properly cleaned dust on counter tops and also 2ply toilet paper is mandatory for all accommodations. Simple litter bins around would be great too. Breakfast was great. Area properly spaced for social distancing. Would love to see what it looks like in the summer. Crossing fingers for a clear pool and active fountains. Nice place still..

Not much time was spent here but it was an absolute pleasant stay. Rooms are spacious, clean & has great lighting. Very friendly staff too.

Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome from Gayle. We were 22 guests and she handled our booking with great care. Rooms were all spacious and clean. Beds were very comfy, linen cozy and warm. Breakfast was delicious. Would go back and recommend friends. Short drive to most attractions in area.

Absolutely beautiful setup. Definitely needs it's finishing touches but other than that had a great experience at a wedding there!!! I must add the food was like lik 15 outta 10. Absolutely Devine!!!

Great function venues. The food was out of this world. Friendly staff. Beautifull, clean rooms. I would definately recommend.

We had a high tea there for my mom's 70th birthday. They were very reasonably priced, the view was stunning and the food delicious. I can definitely recommend them for intimate functions.

We were greeted in the driveway for Covid-19 control before proceeding to the main carpark. The Conference room was set up and ready to receive us, with the staff available to assist us with anything we needed throughout the day. They were very accommodating with our change of schedule, and able to cater to our meals with little disruption. We also enjoy the working-cruise on the Vaal at the end of the day.

The place is beautiful,i went for a massage at Jonice Spa,just next door Pont de Val,the staff is warm and welcoming. The massage was very relaxing even the ladies who were doing the massage were very kind
