Plus, you get to strike up the most interesting conversations with people and leave an hour later having made new friends. So Blessed & Grateful to be living in the Valley surrounded by such Amazing Places & Phenomenal People. Do yourself a favor. Tiger Wheel and Tyre closed their shop in Tokai, so poor me I had to go to a tyre shop in Fish Hoek to fix front left Tyre which has a slow leak so the car always pulls to the left alarmingly. Just to complete the picture, it was a gorgeous day, warm and breezy so first I walked down to the sea in Muizenberg, and had a delicious swim in 17 degree water. While in Fish Hoek I thought I would pop in to local hub Collaborate at the top end of the town in Kommetjie Road, and meet my very ubiquitous friend Benson Nathan Arendse for coffee. I was greeted by smiling Paul who makes the coffee, and erstwhile* friend Conway Lotter looking tired after a long week...and sat next to a long haired gentle looking young brunette girl who sang a few soothing ballads. Then arrived said Benson, very popular and known by everyone in Cape Town and environs, as a receiver of kitchen waste, worms and owner of Pig. He arrived on the scene, in conversation with a Russian lady, Vladi, who sat with us and we discussed among other things The Lost Tribes of Israel of course, The Book of Love and Mary and the Cathars, and said Pig and the Vegan backlash. Also met Luke De Villiers a young Facebook friend not met before, very friendly guy who said he'd seen my paintings on fb. Suddenly arrived long time not seen Karen Parkin, happily fully recovered from serious motorbike accident, back into the growing trade indigenous medicinal plants at Ocean View Organic Farm - the woman is an Amazon! Also met Gavin Webb owner of said Collaborate venue. Long chat with the Potter guy his name escapes me about exhibiting art and framing paintings. I was feeling reasonably well unlike my previous visit to this interesting hub, when I nearly passed out! I said I would like to put up some of my paintings there. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the place because it's really a fun venue, always changing, interesting people, great coffee and spiral Danish pastries.. My heartfelt thanks to Tiger Wheel and Tyre for closing their shop!

Lovely place! Everyone working there were so charismatic and friendly. Had a coffee and a chat with them. The store itself has a collection of interesting things to buy and look at.

Interesting place, a permanent indoor market, good coffee and cakes, live music, fresh food market on Fridays.. Very enjoyable place to hang out in and meet interesting people
