I would like to send out a massive appreciation to Rowan at Cool Ideas, he not only assisted in escalating my issues but he provided a full update every day to make sure all was sorted. Not even his department but made sure to keep me in the loop with all information he was provided. The team at Cool ideas also made a considerable effort with assisting me in getting my fibre line back up and running. Thanks Guys i appreciate the help and guidance in resolving my matter.
Customer service is poor, all you'll get is check our site! With what data?! You charge me for a service I don't even get because the infrastructure is DOWN every second day. Let your staff think for themselves. Your FAQ is clearly pathetic and seems your communication is garbage. Really is difficult working with this company. The way they deal with tickets is slow and they don't want to refund when you've been days without service. Supersonic services were useless but they refunded for the long outages. 30 outages this year? Come on. Talk about a scam.
So far Cool Ideas has been exceptional. They respond to any queries or mails I have usually with an hour and have kept me up to date every step of the way. My line is not yet connected due to Vumatel being very slack but Cool Ideas has been doing everything they can to get me up and running ASAP. Their speedy service and customer care has been a breath of fresh air.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I cannot thank the Connect team enough for helping me get Fibre connected. I kid you not, I have been on the phone and even in branches with another company, between around 10 different agents, the company I rather not mention, for three weeks trying to get my connection done before I moved and was miserably unsuccessful and frustrated is not even the word and yesterday I phoned Cool Ideas, pleading for help and they aided me in getting fibre up and running. Today everything is working and they literally did in two days what another company could not do in three weeks. My heartfelt thank you!
I see a lot of negative reviews here - most of which are infrastructure related problems and have nothing to do with Cool Ideas as an ISP. Our experience has been fantastic. There is ALWAYS someone available to take your call and assist you promptly. The consultants are incredibly friendly and helpful. Got connected the same day I put through the order with no issues. Use Cool Ideas with confidence.
Poor service. I didn't have fibre for over 2 weeks and was forced to pay the full month's fee. Agents stopped responding to my tickets. Eventually a manager sorted out the issue within a day. I wasn't given a refund. I tried to cancel and on the 2nd of October and was told that because the month started that it will only be canceled at the end of November. Which is another months payment. An agent calls to find out why I'm canceling and was condescending on the phone and took no responsibility. The agent even claims to be number 1 in the country yet has a 2.5 star average on Google reviews. Not interested. The agent told me I'll experience similar things with other companies. I was quiet after I told them my concerns, eventually I cut the call because I'm so done with the rude attitude.
I was so happy with Cool Ideas for the past year and then i needed to move the service to new premises. A sign of a business that has outgrown its processes? A horrible experience and now being billed for a service that was not activated in time and which was provisioned in 24 hours by another Service Provider. The help desk and accounts department are there purely to read text on their screen and not to investigate the issue. Sad that i went from a 5 star to a 1 star review client. Bottom line: It is great that they have a good network, but if the service isn't there, it is pointless
And to think expecting internet when you pay for it is asking to much from cool ideas. I never!! ... let me repeat... I NEVER have service!!! It may work for a few hours but then goes out for hours or goes out 15 times a day almost everyday. Imagine being in a meeting and your internet goes out and you call to get it fixed and they tell you to do a million things to get it to work and it never works!! All awhile losing out on a sale because your internet provider does not provide internet. At this point it is pure insanity to continue expecting Cool Ideas to provide reliable internet service.
They forget to process your debit order, then process it the day before a public holiday and send you a snotty email that due to delays in payment your service might be cut off. Also, service 3 years ago was brilliant but has become pretty rubbish over the last year. Wouldn't recommend, connection has started dropping multiple times a day. No point calling their T1 though as they can't deviate from their script and blame everything on client side Ethernet cables.
To start off with, I had to keep following up to get my fibre installed. I eventually contacted the Fibre provider who escallted it. Then I paid in full, but keep being told I owe for portion of a month, for a Service I was not receiving. I will definitely not recommend Cool Ideas to anyone.
