So I'm not one to leave reviews but recently read a review that was very similar. At the time I just left the military and moved to CT. FEW months living on new Britain Ave. My girlfriend called me asking if I was home because she didn't see my vehicle. So being new to CT and what I was told about the area I called the cops thinking it was stolen. They said I  was told it was towed by CROSS COUNTRY AUTOMOTIVE. So next day I went by asking if I was able to retrieve my personal belongings which one item was a laptop which had all my photos of my deloyment..AND photos of my sons birth because again I was deployed during his birth... so again a lot of very near and dear to my heart that I'll never get back. The lady was extremely rude and told me I could only get medications even though I told them I was volunteering my vehicle because I didn't have the money to get it out.. again I just moved to CT so I didn't have much money from moving cross country...pun not intended.  I lost so much from them... no wonder they have less Than 2 stars. I was told it was pointless to try and fight it but just recently saw a post in the same exact position... so I had to speak up... I will do everything possible  to get cross country in the publics eye and show how corrupt  and unprofessional  they are.. even though  they're  doing a great  job of their own.Service:&nbsp;Vehicle wrecking

My car was towed here after my son totalled it by the police. When I spoke to the office, the lady was pleasant and professional. When I went to their location to see and empty my car, they were very nice. The only very minor sniggle, they didn't know exactly where my car was. I happened to see it in another of their lots. But no big deal.

Shady place because the first thing they ask after I call identifying my vehicle is if its registered bc they'd just love to take it from me. They only accept cash and no atm on site. No landlords should use them.

Not sure why they had sent me a notice of tow for a car that I never owned with my name and address on it. I called the police department and they couldn’t trace it nor could these guys explain why my information was associated with that car. Definitely need to get their information together and stop messing with people that are not the rightful owner of the car.

PLEASE READ!!!!!! I RATE THEM 0 STARS! Very inconsiderate!!! They towed my car in the middle of the night! I called the next morning they told me I had to pay $330???? And also additional $150 to get it towed out because of it not being registered at that moment !! I told them I was using triple A LADY HAVE NERVE TO TELL ME!! MAKE SURE THE HAVE THERE OCOI WHATEVER THE **** that is! To make sure it’s a legit company!! It’s TRIPLE A DUH!! STATING SOME TOW PEOPLE THEY SEND OUT REFUSE TO SHOW THERE CREDENTIALS.. Even when I spoke to my dispatch people and told them can they provide the credentials they said they not worrried about what cross country talking about because they can send that right over!! They WOULD NOT ACCEPT MY PAYMENT UNTILLLLL TOW COMPANY GOT THERE AND SHOWED THEM THERE AND CREDENTIALS.. ??? What!?!?! Rewind back to when I first arrived I SHOWED THEM MY TITLE AND THEY SAID I NEED MY BILL OF SELL!! What!???? WHYY? Thank god I had my bill of sell on me!!  Back to them not accepting my payment.. triple A did not arrive on time so I kept car there over night they said it would be a additional $26 FOR ME TO CALL THEM IN AM BECAUSE SOMETHING TOLD ME THEY W THE B* THEY TOLD ME I OWED THEM $390!!!!! Whatttt?!!!! She was very rude and said she is not going to argue with me because I was asking her how!! I ask her help me understand!! She said I’ll see it on my receipt when I pay!  WHICH RECEIPT WAS NOT CLEAR AT ALL  couldn’t read it!!! For me to arrive there that day with $390 and they told me it was $254 now!!!!! All the pain and stress they put me thru! Never empathize with me ONCE! GAVE ME THE HARDEST TIME OF MY LIFE!! They are clearly running a scam ! CLEARLY GET PLEASURE GIVING PEOPLE A HARD TIME! I’ll tell you now!! NEVER AGAIN WILL YOU GET POSSESSION ON MY CAR ! COME FIND IT!!!!!!!!

These people towed the wrong car and it happened to be mine, they realized their mistake and now don't want to return my car back to me. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Worst towing company ever. They hit my car and denied it even with a witness I was parked in Hartford, and they towed my car Do not use them if you have a choice

I'm sorry to hear so many people had such bad interactions with this business.  Perhaps it was because these cars were parked where they shouldn't have been and were legally towed.  I can't say enough about the positive experience I had, especially with Kelly. My car was stolen and found abandoned on a street in Hartford. Cross Country towed it to their facility. When I went to look at it Kelly was unbelievably helpful. One of the windows had been left down and wasn't able to be closed. She made sure to cover the vehicle as we were expecting rain. She was respectful and polite. Having your vehicle stolen is a very stressful experience and I appreciated her compassion.

Towed my car from parking lot. That's fine but never notified me. My phone number was left on windshield because I needed new battery. Cannot get car out after 5 pm so that suxked cuz they were closed Sat. and Sunday. They do not accept credit cards.

They towed my truck outta my yard while I was in the hospital. Claimed they didn't know I was a resident.  I got out of the hospital Thursday with a hefty fee while still recuperating.  They didn't take any accountability for their actions and no one would help. They should be obligated to contact the residents or leasing agency before making any actions.
